I had a very poor experience with this company. I reached out two weeks ago to see if they were available to do my taxes. I got a prompt response that they could and to send my w2s and any other pertinent information which I did, and for two weeks got the run around. I made countless calls and emails trying to just get confirmation that the taxes would be handled and filed with no response. I had countless conversations w their assistant and was told each time that my call would be returned, but it never was. I finally gave up and went with another company. When I emailed the accountant to let them know I did not need or want his services he responded immediately with an excuse and had the nerve to say he could still file my taxes (a day before the deadline). This behavior is absolutely reckless and unprofessional and shouldn't be tolerated w such sensitive and personal information and such an important issue. They're messing with people's lives and run the risk of making people have to file for an extension and accrue penalties. If you can't take on a customer and are overloaded then let them know so they can make other arrangements instead of stringing them along. This is no way to treat a customer.

My family and I have been using Mainline Partners for over 26 years. Hugh Tracey was my tax accountant and has recently passed away. Hugh was the one that would remind me it was tax time. I have over the years met and got to know all of the Mainline Partners and would recommend any of them to do my taxes. They are very professional and understanding of each one's circumstances and are very helpful in giving advice if you own your own business or real estate. And if you don't they can still guide you as to what you should do in your tax situation and bracket. RIP HUGH, we will see each other again, I know you will be one of the ones to great me at the pearly gates...

I have known Hugh Tracy for over 15 years, and that's how long he has been doing my taxes, always professional and passionate about doing my taxes, just spoke to him on Saturday May 6, and called to speak to him on May 8, I was told he passed away, I am still in disbelief, Hugh you will be greatly missed, not only was you my taxman but you were my friend, may you RIP

Very disappointing tax preparation by Hugh Tracy. I had 5 different tax returns. I tried to provide as much information possible to help with the forms but I don't believe he really paid much attention to my notes. For one thing, I asked that any taxes due be set up to be paid directly from the appropriate accounts and any returns be deposited directly. This wasn't done. For another he made mistakes. I got letters from both the state and the feds reducing the amount of the returns. Several times I asked for an appointment to check the governments results, but never got a response. It was necessary to get an extension on one of the forms because he wasn't familiar with how to handle a special type of income. A month or more after April 15 I had to request twice to get files for all of the paperwork on the returns. I don't know what kind of partnership Mainline Partners is actually. My previous tax preparer had a staff that worked on the returns. MP seems more like 5 guys sharing a very cramped office space. It isn't the professional organization I expected based on their website.

I had some basic questions about the tax implications of starting a new business so I called hoping to set up a consultation. To my pleasant surprise, they were able to quickly answer my questions over the phone. Another accounting firm I called wanted $125 for a 30-minute consultation. I will definitely be going back to Mainline for my tax and accounting needs!
