Really great experience doing the MS1 with Ken! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their understanding of mountain navigation. Ken is a great instructor who is very knowledgeable about navigation and hiking. The course was entertaining, engaging, and packed with useful things to learn about map reading, using a compass, and navigating in the mountains. A great course with lots of practical knowledge that I’ll definitely use on future hikes. Highly recommended!

The best course I have ever participated. Before the course I knew quite nothing about rock climbing, gear, techniques used, and at the end of the weekend I did things which I thought I was not capable of. Very good trainer, full of knowledge and tact, very passionate about his work, Ken and his assistant Caroline, the same. I absolutely recommend the course for anyone who in interested in this activity. Thank you

Just completed Mountain Skills 1 training in Wicklow, and Mountain Skills 2 in The Comeraghs with Ken. Two very enjoyable weekends spent on the mountains. Great group dynamics and Ken has a very easy way of passing on his knowledge leaving you very confident and well prepared heading into the hills day or night. Highly recommend.

Just completed RS2 skills with Ken and can’t recommend him enough. Ken takes his time to make sure you understand all the skills required and if not he finds another way to explain them. Totally relaxed environment and plenty of slagging. Awesome weekend out

I did a two day rock skills (intermediate) course with Ken and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to build their own skills of climbing/abseiling. Not only is Ken a brilliant Instructor but he kept us safe and sound all the while showing us (me) how to make knots, place gear etc, many.. many times with great patience and laughs throughout. Thanks Ken!

My friend and I did the Rock Skills 1 with Ken and it was such an amazing experience. He did a wonderful job at teaching us the basics and helping us out with those slabby routes. Dalkey quarry is such a fantastic location for climbing. It was so much fun trying to figure out how to get to the top and be able to do it. Definitely gave me the confidence to do more outdoor climbing and hopefully get into trad climbing. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to do something that would get you moving and thinking at the same time.

Just done an Indoor Rock skills course with Ken focusing on preparing for outdoor climbing. Ken went through the basics of building anchors for belays and abseils. Course was absolutely brilliant, I couldn't believe how much we got through. Doing it indoors meant we didn't have to worry about re-scheduling if the weather was bad. Really good course for anyone looking to get started in transitioning from indoor to outdoor climbing. Would highly recommend. Also done both Mountain Skills 1 and Rock Skills Introduction with Ken, found both courses really enjoyable, Ken was very patient and clear, and I learned so much on both courses. Would highly recommend Ken if you are interested in any of his courses

We did Mountain Skills 1 with Ken last weekend in the Comeragh Mountains and it didn't disappoint! We learned loads over the 2 days. Ken is extremely knowledgeable and great fun to be around. He's also an excellent photographer so if you're looking to get some pro shots in the mountains, then Ken is your man! :D We are already looking to sign up to Mountain Skills 2 with Ken when it comes available. You were coming with lots of experience so the teaching was easy and day two was just me following you all around...and staying out of the showers.
