I called requesting a new foot for the kick Stand of my ternGSD as mine fell off and was unstable when parked. Sarah put one aside for me. When I arrived a few days later Jojo (hopefully correct spelling) realised the piece was the wrong one based on my explanation on the original phone and provided me with the correct piece. I offered to pay because I didn’t even purchase the bike through lug and carry and she said to pay it forward. Great business ethos and I will make sure I do just that!
Cheers!
Lug+Carrie is an Absolutely amazing company the bike has literally changed my life I have lost weight and I get to see Sydney in a completely different way instead of worrying about parking just pull up change it up and off you go highly recommend them plus the staff is extremely friendly and helpful it is expensive but the bikes are very well built thanks lug+Carrie 👍
Didn’t get an e-scooter, however the kind employees let us use their lot to park our car during my move. The ebikes looked high quality from what I saw briefly and the employees had top tier customer service.
Been my local bike store for 3 years and have always had great service and lots of help.
Leased a compact cargo bike here for 6 months before buying it outright 2 years ago. Have had the bike serviced here every 6-10 months since then and always have an easy time booking in, dropping off, and picking the bike back up. The bike always rides like new afterwards too.
Staff are always super helpful and polite and have ordered in custom tern parts for me a few times too.
Can not recommend positively enough!!
I travelled from the Sunshine Coast to buy a Tern cargo bike from Lug and Carrie. A year and a service later I am really happy - it's everything my dog and I wanted in an e-bike. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and genuinely interested and helpful. I'd highly recommend purchasing or having an e-bike serviced with Lug and Carrie.
Headline: Inconsistent policies and shifting goalposts.
Review:
I’m extremely disappointed with the contradictory service from Lug+Carrie. I applied for a subscription and was initially told the only issue was being slightly outside the "operational zone." Once I clarified I could manage the logistics, the goalposts shifted to my storage method.
Despite their own website ("How to store your bike") explicitly recommending "secure bike storage facilities" for overnight storage, I was told by staff that a professional, leased storage unit "does not meet T&Cs" because it isn't "private property." This is logically inconsistent—a leased unit is private, undercover, and more secure than many carports they approve.
Even more frustrating is the double standard: I know of local businesses using these bikes for commercial cleaning while storing them in rental units. When I pointed this out and asked for clarification, I was told the "decision is final and not up for discussion."
Great bikes, but the administration is rigid, inconsistent, and unwilling to stand by their own written guidelines. If you don't fit their perfect "inner-city house" mold, don't bother.
We came to Lug + Carrie to switch our family commute and start a bike subscription. It was our first time riding with our 18-month-old, and the team was fantastic, they guided us through all the options and made us feel confident straight away.
Now we’re doing daycare drop-offs by bike and our daughter absolutely loves it. One of the best decisions we’ve made. Highly recommend L+C!
