We just past by and saw the painted sign on a wall from the road and the whole village welcomed us. We got a personal tour and got to know the full story of how it all began and the process of the pottery creation. We did not booked anything this was just a heartwarming experience and a sharring of knowledge. We also ended the evening with creating different potteries in the studio. We also saw the river the village once enjoyed with swiming in and now it is not possible to do that anymore. Now ot is up to all of us to make it clean so coming generations could do that again. So come by it will be an unforgetful experience.

This was such an amazing experience! Din showed us around the village and the stages of making their traditional pottery, and then guided us through making our own. He’s a great teacher, and I managed to make a gecko ash tray which they fired and painted for me! Must do experience when in Lombok :)

We learned about the traditional Sasak pottery making process and even had the opportunity to create our own mug and bowl. We had a great couple of hours here. We didn’t have a booking but we’re very warmly welcomed. We were shown around the village by Din and he was a wealth of information, and had a great sense of humour. We then made (with some expert assistance haha) two pottery pieces each. It will take 2 days to get them back - be aware if you only have a short time here, but this worked fine for us. I would highly recommend!

We arrived without booking first (just using Google maps 😀) and were immediately made at home Din, who then acted as our tour guide through the village. This showed us the entire process from raw unprocessed clay to crushing and mixing; then the process of turning clay into finely crafted pots cups and plates. The skills shown by the artisans ("potters" doesn't do them justice) is nothing short of amazing- watching a half finished clay pot wobble as it was worked on was hypnotic. We were then shown a kiln be loaded as pots were pre fired, hot and dusty work undertaken with many jokes and banter in trying conditions for a tourist just standing back and watching 🥵 Please support a wonderful piece of working culture and make sure these superbly skilled people can continue to do so for future generations ❤️🇮🇩

We had such a good day with Dein & his family. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome, Dein was so much fun to be around. We learnt a lot about the traditional pottery skills of this village. We made our own pottery pieces which was really fun. We didn’t have time to cook however a homemade lunch was provided and delicious. We are so glad we get to take our pottery pieces home as a reminder of such a special experience.

This was our first time trying pottery, and it was an unforgettable experience! We highly recommend visiting Dein if you have the chance. Before we started making our own pottery, he gave us a fascinating tour of the village and shared its history, as well as the entire pottery-making process from start to finish. You can truly feel his passion and knowledge for this traditional craft. The highlight was getting to make our own pottery. It was so much fun, a unique hands-on experience, and something we will always remember. Thank you for such an amazing experience. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
