We’ve only been at Little Locals Auchenflower for 2–3 weeks, but I already feel confident enough to share our experience. My son started daycare at 3.5 years old, having never attended daycare before and speaking absolutely no English. We had been in Australia for just over a month when we tried another centre, and unfortunately that experience left us with some very difficult memories. Little Locals has been a completely different story. From our very first interaction, Solmaz, the Academic Supervisor, gave us a genuine sense of trust and reassurance. The care, structure and educational approach we’ve experienced since then make us feel that the values she represents are reflected throughout the centre. Every educator we’ve met has been professional, attentive and genuinely caring. They are constantly engaged with the children and seem to put real thought into creating happy, meaningful experiences for them. Even the kitchen staff and bus drivers have been incredibly warm and kind. We also really appreciate the detailed daily reports, clear communication, thoughtful food choices and wonderful facilities. It’s still early for us, and we haven’t experienced every part of the educational program yet. But after our previous experience, the most valuable thing Little Locals has given us is peace of mind. Seeing our son begin to settle, connect and enjoy his days here — despite having no English and no previous daycare experience — after only a few weeks means so much to us. A big thank you to the entire Little Locals Auchenflower team for making this transition such a positive one for our family. ❤️

Carter has been at Little Locals for almost two years now, and he absolutely loves it. We’ve had such a wonderful experience with the centre and feel so lucky to have found a place where the educators genuinely care about the children and their development. Ms. Rae is an amazing Centre Manager, she is always so warm, welcoming and lovely. The centre itself is always beautifully kept, organised and has such a positive environment. Mr. Jett is wonderful with the children and always makes learning fun and engaging. We’ve also been so grateful to Ms. Shalom for taking over the Junior Kindy class and putting so much thought and effort into creating a learning schedule and routine for the kids. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing Carter is somewhere he feels happy, comfortable and cared for. We are incredibly lucky to be part of a centre that genuinely cares about the children, their learning and their wellbeing.

I can’t sing LLA’s praises enough. From the beauty and quality of the physical space, to the expertise and compassion of the staff and educators, plus everything in between - LLA is a wonderful home away from home for my little one. I am continuously impressed with the quality and creativity of the education my son receives. The care he is shown is exactly what I would hope for when he is not with me. My son (15mo) confidently reaches for his educators and other staff, and clearly feels safe and comfortable in their care. I receive regular updates to keep me informed throughout his day, including sweet stories and photos. Everything the educators and staff do at LLA gives me comfort and confidence that my son is in the best hands (second to me of course).

We transferred our son here about a month ago. He always leaves the center happy. Miss Rae is very accommodating since our stay and play sessions and made sure my son is well adjusted, she’s always ready to help. All of the educators are wonderful, Ms Geraldine, Mr Jet, Ms Carla and Ms Maddie made sure my son doesn’t feel left out as the “new kid” in the room. You can see the kids love and respect their educators as well.

I've had my daughter in the kindy room at Little Local Auchenflower for the past four months and the experience so far has been very positive. The educators seem engaged and the class of kids very friendly. My daughter is thoroughly enjoying her experience and I would highly recommend the kindy program!

We had both our girls at Little Locals for many years, moving from the baby room through to pre kindy and loved the centre. The educators were so responsive and welcoming. The management arranged some incredible events (Christmas, movie nights). Our girls will miss LL but look back on our time there fondly. thanks again team!

We have absolutely loved our time at Little Locals Auchenflower! My 3 year old started in the baby room just after he turned 1 and the entire experience has been a positive one. Every educator shows kindness and compassion towards the children and their parents. The LL community is not only educational but also nurturing, catering to each individual child's needs. I would highly recommend Little Locals Auchenflower!

This is an absolute jackpot. Hands down the best daycare around. We moved from the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane when my little one was 3, and I visited pretty much every daycare on the north side. From the moment we walked into LL Auchenflower, Tijana and the whole team made us feel so welcome. Big shoutout to the amazing management team Liz and Rae, the beautiful teachers Geraldine, Maddie and Velie, and Joe in the kitchen, plus all the other wonderful teachers and staff I may have missed. Every single one of you made our two years there so special. Every term they somehow managed to surprise us with fun events and excursions. There was always something exciting for the kids to look forward to. Thank you for taking such incredible care of B and giving us memories we’ll never forget. Bonus points for the lovely parent friendships we made along the way too! Couldn’t recommend more ❤️

We had two kids who've attended Little Locals Auchenflower. It was an absolutely rewarding experience and decision which we should have done a lot sooner. Our kids spent three years at the centre which we all truly enjoyed. Our children were always excited to come in in the morning and hesitant to go home. Our children were treated well as if they were one of their own. We would like to thank all the lovely carers we have met at the centre through those years, Ms Rae, Ms Geraldine, Ms Maddie, Ms Velli, Ms Ana, Ms Maham, Mr Jett and Jovel, Ms Loz and Tijana. Can't forget the cheerful Joe the chef. The place is perfect if you're looking for a place for your children!!

We have been with this centre for over 2.5 years, and while my son had many beautiful memories early on, the past six months have unfortunately turned that experience into a nightmare. The educators themselves are supportive and genuinely listen, but serious safety issues have been ignored at a management level. During this period, my son has repeatedly been placed with a child who displays violent behaviour. I personally witnessed a frightening incident where this child grabbed another child's head and slammed it into an iron pole. My son has come home multiple times with bite marks, scratches, and even a near-miss injury close to his eye. Despite being informed, the child’s parents have consistently refused to acknowledge these incidents, and the centre has taken no meaningful action to ensure safety for the rest of the children. I’m aware of several other parents who have experienced similar situations, yet there has been no visible effort from the centre to address the recurring behavioural risks or to protect the wider group of children. In addition, over the past 2.5 years, I have quietly observed the owner pushing out two wonderful Centre Coordinators—both of whom genuinely cared for the children and staff. This raised early concerns about the management culture, and the recent safety issues have made it impossible for us to continue. We have ultimately made the extremely difficult decision to withdraw our child to ensure his safety and wellbeing. I am sharing this review so other parents are fully aware of our experience and can make an informed decision.

We’ve had an extremely positive experience at Little Locals Auchenflower. From day one, the management team and all of the educators have been warm, professional, and genuinely caring. It’s hard to single out individuals because everyone does such a great job, but we would especially like to thank Jet and Jovell — they are absolutely fantastic with the kids and are just great humans all round. A special mention as well to Sonam and Amalia, who are also awesome and consistently go above and beyond. We feel very confident and grateful to have our child in such a supportive, nurturing, and well-run environment. Highly recommend Little Locals Auchenflower to any family looking for exceptional care.

From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt a genuine sense of warmth, professionalism, and care — and that feeling has only grown stronger with time. Our son has flourished in both the Nursery Room and Toddler 1 Room. The transition between rooms was incredibly smooth, thanks to the thoughtful support and gentle approach of the educators. Every team member we've encountered has shown such dedication, patience, and kindness — they truly go above and beyond to create a safe and joyful environment for every child. We are especially grateful for the centre’s bilingual staff, which has introduced our son to new languages in a fun and natural way. It's such a valuable opportunity at this early age, and we’ve noticed how excited he is by new words and sounds. This kind of early exposure is something we really cherish. A heartfelt thank you to Amalia, who leads the Toddler 1 Room with incredible warmth and energy. That said, we genuinely can’t single out just one person — the entire team is fantastic. From Nursery to Toddler 1 and beyond, the educators are not only skilled and caring, but truly beautiful people who treat each child with love and respect. We also love the creativity and variety in the daily programming. Themed days are a huge highlight for our son, and he always comes home full of stories, songs, and excitement. The centre also hosts special events for families, which we absolutely adore — they make us feel connected, included, and part of a truly wonderful community. And we can’t forget the delicious, nutritious meals! Our son eats so well at daycare, and we’re so impressed by the quality and variety of food provided. It’s such a comfort knowing he’s not only enjoying his meals but also being introduced to healthy eating habits in such a positive way. Under the leadership of Jan, the centre runs with warmth, integrity, and a deep commitment to both children and families. Her approach sets the tone for everything — and it shows. The centre itself is clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed to support both learning and play. The outdoor space is a huge favourite for our son, and it’s clear he feels completely at home here. The communication is also outstanding. We love receiving daily updates, photos, and reflections — they help us feel connected to our son’s day and reassure us that he is safe, happy, and thriving. Little Locals, Auchenflower, has become so much more than just a daycare — it’s a second home for our son, and a place where he is truly known, supported, and celebrated. We are so grateful to be part of this beautiful community and couldn’t recommend it more highly to other families.

With all the turmoil surrounding the childcare centers, I will leave my honest review. My daughter attended in 2024, but I pulled her out because they left the room unsupervised for at least 15 minutes with five kids inside. I was waiting for the educators to come, but no one came. Yes, it was a full 'Karen' move, but I needed to be sure of what was going on. They said one parent left the door open in the morning when dropping off their kid, but still, there were three educators outside chatting, and none checked for the missing kids? I was amazed, which is why I went personally to the educators and told them what was going on, and I complained immediately at the reception. They checked the cameras and apologized, but I couldn't leave her there anymore. Additionally, I also saw educators working in the kitchen a couple of times. I noticed poor hygiene when changing nappies, as they were not putting paper or any linen on the changing table between kids or spraying the changing tables between uses. She was coming home with bites, and on a couple of occasions, no one did an incident report or noticed that this happened to my daughter (imagine that!). She was also coming home with nappy rash, which is extremely concerning. I really hope this helps any parent seeking information for their children.

Since November 2024, with new leadership in place, our centre has made very meaningful improvements—focusing on child safety, ongoing educator training, and creating a more supportive and nurturing environment for every child and family.

Absolutely awful experience. Some educators are lovely but on the whole the centre really lets down the educators, parents and mostly the children. In late 2023 We had a long, ongoing experience of being bitten almost daily, severe nappy rash, sun burn, being left alone in the room, staff being bullied - hopefully it’s improved since then. But as this was our first daycare experience I regret leaving my child there so long, especially when comparing to our new centre and seeing how good it can be

Little Locals in Brisbane deserves the highest rating possible. When my family and I relocated from Perth, we were apprehensive about how our little boy would adapt to the new environment. However, Little Locals went above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition for him. From the moment we walked through their doors, we were greeted by their incredibly friendly and always smiling staff. Their commitment to exceptional customer service was evident in every interaction we had with them. What impressed us the most was how easily accessible their customer service was. Whenever we had a question or concern, they were just a phone call away, ready to assist us promptly and efficiently. Their dedication to ensuring our satisfaction was truly remarkable. Overall, I cannot express how satisfied I am with the service provided by Little Locals. They not only helped my little boy feel at home in Brisbane but also made the entire relocation process much smoother for our family. Their staff's unwavering positivity and their commitment to excellent customer service truly set them apart. Our family could not rate little locals Auchenflower more highly! Our little guy came from a family daycare to this centre and we could not be happier to have made the move. Everyone there, from management, the educators and the chefs, are just the most wonderful, caring and accomdating crew we could ask for! They have truly gone above and BEYOND to cater for my son and my needs as a nervous first time mum. The centre is so beautiful and provides such a wonderful atmosphere and environment for our little guy to live his best life. I feel so comfortable leaving him in the capable hands of all the staff there and love that he has each meal made fresh for him by the chefs onsite. Truly a wonderful centre

Nurturing educators who care about the development of children and individuals, really nice facilities (including splash pads, in ground trampolines, an INDOOR SLIDE) and programs including Pilates and the much loved bush kindy. Our child has thrived in his time with little locals - he has built strong relationships with other children and staff, and has the confidence to try new things. He absolutely loves coming here. Highly recommend.
