Initially, Amanda spent time on a few phone calls with me and my wife and was generally patient and willing to answer questions. I appreciated that she didn’t rush those conversations. However, we weren’t able to get clear information about hourly billing rates or an estimated range for costs beyond the initial $400 consultation with the lawyer that needed to be scheduled. Without that information, it was difficult to understand what the potential total cost might be. We decided to move forward anyway. Before the consultation call, we were asked to send bank records and other personal information (SSNs, property deeds, etc.) through standard email rather than using a secure document portal, which raised some concerns for us about how sensitive documents are being handled and transmitted. Lastly, after experiencing Margo's lack of empathy and inflexibility, we ultimately decided to cancel the scheduled consultation and not move forward with the firm.
