John and his crew did an incredible job on making our home look amazing! John came out and met with my husband and I to help us pick the right color for our landscaping, roof, and preferences. They came on time every day and left no mess behind. His crew was super professional and easy to work with. About a year after we had the house painted our sprinkler system began leaving brown spotting on the front of the house and John quickly responded and had a crew out within a week to make sure the problem was taken care of. I love supporting a small family owned company that does great work. And, after a long day at work, I love pulling up to a house that looks so good I’m truly happy to say it’s mine.

So I got Legacy Applications info from the Sherwin-Williams store on 28th St. years ago after my mother and my uncle passed away. John came out gave me an estimate to paint the whole inside of the house. It was more than fair. I went ahead and signed the contract. In the process of getting the work done every wall in the bathroom the two bedrooms and the living room had a built-in wall heater that I inquired about having removed and patched. John and his guys said no problem. They completely removed all the wall heaters, including on wiring them and patching with drywall and texture to match the plaster wall around it. You can’t even tell they were there anymore. So with that said that was I believe 2 1/2 years ago. I contacted him a week and a half ago and asked what white paint he used to paint the door jams because as I do construction myself, just touching the door jams when you close the door and so on they get dirty and buy me scrubbing them probably the wrong way the paint had come off. He says Kenny we have a guarantee touchup policy. He himself came out here this past Friday and touched up probably six different spots that I marked at no charge. That’s unheard of. I have recommended his company multiple timesand always will. It’s nice to have a mom and pop company that still cares about their customers.

This review is so long overdue! Our cabinets were painted in mid November, and they're still looking freshly done! We looked around 4-5 local painters for our kitchen cabinets. We had a color in mind and we're ready to go. John with Legacy just happened to be the last scheduled to check out the cabinets and provide an estimate, though I had spoken to him within 30 minutes of my initial inquiry (super quick!). Although the quote wasn't the cheapest of the group (and let me say now: worth every penny!), we just felt the best about John after meeting him and hearing about his business and the process. It was decided that same evening that we wanted to work with John and his team. Here are a couple reasons: The first, as intangible as it sounds, was simply just a great vibe. If you get it, you get it! Another reason is how detailed John was while going through the quote and the process on what to expect. He has a great eye, and attention to detail was apparent within that first meeting to get a quote. He was taking notes and explaining his thoughts along the way and I appreciated that. John also knew a lot about color! This may sound like a "duh" given his profession, but I felt John really understood and talk through things like contrast, saturation, undertones- and given that we went from midtone warm wood to a neutral black, this was super important and helpful. Additionally, John stopped by with large paint swatches to affirm our decision. It was great to compare between the blue blacks and the neutral black we went with. This extra step of coming by and sharing the swatches and his thoughts was so validating! We really liked that Legacy is a local business and his team is filled with colleagues - not contractors. I felt this was notable because it speaks to how John can speak to the work of his team because he actually knows them! And likewise, I feel this speaks to his values too - to be frank, I saw this to mean that Legacy pays fair and doesn't cut corners to optimize profits. And everything about the team reinforced this to me - the team was so kind, professional and so good at their work! They were so clean, organized and put together when it came to the week the work was being done. It was so cool to see the stages. The results look factory done, as if it were original with the house! They moved anything that needed to be moved like the fridge, and we could even keep out things in yhe cabinets as they taped them to protect the insides anyway -- we had NO setup to do, Legacy did it all! We added soft closures as well and I recommend those to everyone! Worthy investment. My dad is doing his home with some additions and what not and wow, his experience looking for the right team has just reinforced how lucky we were with Legacy - from start to finish they made it all just so easy and smooth. My only wish? That I took better photos to truly showcase their awesome work! We are about to call John about our railing, so needless to say I will use Legacy for any painting projects in the home and will recommend them highly to anyone searching. 10/10, 5 of 5 stars. Save yourself the time and trouble, give yourself the peace of mind, and call Legacy.

Apologies for the belated review on work that Legacy Applications did at our house earlier this year, but I wanted to make sure I came back to write how happy we were with John and his team. It can be really difficult to find a quality, actual family owned business these days who are professional and care about their work - Google can be a minefield of private equity owned fronts that will send random people to your home who have no real connection with the community nor any pride in their work. Legacy Applications is the real deal. The owner John is an awesome guy and it is clear that he takes pride in the skill of his employees (who he refers to as “craftsmen,” it is clear, not as vain commercial puffery but out of real respect for the work they do). The men who came out to do the painting and drywall were absolute professionals who knew exactly what they were doing and paid attention to every minute detail. Our job was a difficult one that required some detail work and we were absolutely blown away with the finished product. The room looks SO good, and you can tell even on close inspection that not a single corner was cut in any aspect of the operation. We are just so happy with this company, we feel lucky we found them, and they will without a doubt be our first call the next time we need work done. Thank you!
