We had a great experience with the Leather Corner. It was refreshing to visit a store carrying quality furniture and have a warm, accommodating no-pressure experience. Calvin, the owner, worked with us and we came away with new, beautiful living room sofa and 2 very comfortable recliners. Would highly recommend!
The Leather Corner is a hidden gem! They sell top quality furniture at a reasonable price. Calvin, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and if he does not have the answer, he is very responsive and quick to get it. He provides top customer service, patient with all our questions and quick to accommodate us. We purchased a leather sectional and a leather chair made by Pallister, all made in North America! We absolutely love this furniture, could not be happier. We needed the leather sectional the next day and Calvin made it happen! We ordered the power recliner with many colors to choose from. There is beautiful inventory to purchase off the floor! The delivery crew are top notch also, best described as white glove delivery! They were very careful with the furniture being delivered and with our home. This is a local business providing real customer service. The chain and larger furniture stores cannot compare with the overall quality of the Leather Corner. From our experience after two separate purchases, they deserve 10 stars.
We were looking for a new sofa and wanted to go into a store with high quality and responsible pricing. We also did not want to have the hard sell when we walked in. We were more than pleased with our experience and the quality of the two sofas we purchased. Calvin went out of his way to be helpful without being pushy. Definitely would recommend this store if you are looking for quality leather furniture.
Overall great experience buying furniture from Calvin. Laid back sales approach, tremendous customer support. Calvin actually came out to our home to look at a defect and quickly decided to replace unit, allowing us to keep loveseat until new one arrived.

I cannot say enough good things about this store and its Owner, Calvin. I was in a real predicament when sleep galleria went out of business and an order I had already paid for was not delivered because sleep galleria had not paid the manufacturer. I worked with the manufacturer and Calvin, who is an authorized Palliser dealer, to get the recliner I had ordered and have it delivered to my house in Miami. Calvin was incredibly helpful and responsive to everything I needed throughout the process and continually checked in with me to provide updates and ensure that the delivery went smoothly. If you want to buy quality furniture AND support a business with character and integrity you should spend your money at Leather Corner.
WOW!!! This Leather Sofa is Amazing!!! It is not only beautiful but so very comfortable. This is the best sofa we have ever had in our lives. We are very particular w/ our beds and sofas and finding a great sofa is not easy. So thrilled we found Leather Corner. If you are looking for a Quality Leather Sofa at a reasonable price this is your place to go. The store owner Calvin is great! He was so helpful n easy going not the typical “sales person” . We have been meaning to write this review sooner , as it is many months after our purchase, and we love the sofa even more than the day we bought it! This is THE place to buy leather furniture. After shopping all of the leather furniture places in Charlotte and Sarasota County, I bought a great sofa from the Leather Corner. I made this decision based on quality, color, price and service. The sofa just delivered is by far the best sofa I have ever had. I even think this sofa is better than the Natuzi sectional I bought in the late 90's. This sofa is so well built, I tried to move it a little and could not because it is so heavy. It is like a rock. Calvin is an extraordinarily attentive and reliable person. We turned to him for guidance about a furniture repair when another company charged us for a service call but failed to deliver. He followed through in every way until it was complete which is always good but also remarkable because this was a favor, not his responsibility. Calvin goes the extra mile!!!! We are so happy there are people like him.
Excellent service and communication! Thinking we would be shopping for a leather couch all day, and dreading it, our first stop was Leather Corner, and the search was over. The couch we purchased is top quality, something we wouldn't have found in a chain furniture store. Calvin is so kind, helpful, and not pushy. He was quick to communicate with us by phone during the whole process. He made sure we would be comfortable until our new couch came in. I just can say enough good about this entire experience. And, I am grateful Leather Corner was our first stop that day.
An amazing local leather store. Calvin goes above and beyond! He even opened for us on a Monday when they are closed! The prices are already much lower than anyone else for the same thing and then with a sale, unbelievable! Don't buy leather without checking here first! So excited to get our new chair!
We shopped high and low for new leather furniture. the best day was when we walked into the leather corner. The owner is so friendly and he even helped us match the leather color to our carpet. The furniture that we chose was A higher grade than what we almost bought at a big furniture store and it was a $1000 less. I highly recommend the leather corner for any leather furniture purchase.
Reviews: How important are they in your decision to consider doing business with a place you are not familiar with? How do you know if those reviews are legitimate, unbiased and accurate?
For us, after we've done our initial research, those reviews often play a major role in whether we try that restaurant or even consider shopping at that store. At the time we first discovered Leather Corner, they had about 32 five star reviews. This immediately got our attention. We carefully read every review and tried to evaluate the quality and accuracy of each review and its reviewer. Still not 100% convinced everything was as indicated, we drove from Punta Gorda to Venice to find out for ourselves.
We have a new custom built home and have been shopping for living room furniture (sofa). After months of shopping and learning we finally came to the conclusion that a 110" or larger, contemporary style, power reclining sofa, manufactured by Palliser is the correct choice for our needs. Some fine furniture stores carry Palliser but most do not have much of a selection. Conversely, Leather Corner is loaded with Palliser furniture. We have yet to see any furniture store with even 1/5th of the amount of Palliser furniture displayed at Leather Corner.
So, what did we learn upon our first visit to Leather Corner? First observation (as previously mentioned) is that the store is loaded with beautiful Palliser furniture. Many styles, colors, sizes, options of sofas, chairs, rugs and accessories. Second, we were pleasantly greeted by Calvin. (Yes, everything you have read in other reviews mentioning Calvin is spot on). He listened attentively as we described the living room space, contemporary style, need for aesthetics and comfort as well as extra length to properly scale with an existing Lexington 3' x 5' solid wood cocktail table. Fortunately, he had a reclining Palliser Armina 2 seater that we could sit on, recline and evaluate. After spending several (non-pressured) hours there learning about all of the options and choices available to us, we decided to order the 3 piece Palliser Armina sofa in white leather.
We could not be more pleased with the entire experience. Calvin's knowledgeable, relaxed, honest, no pressure personality along with the huge inventory of Palliser made our shopping experience pleasant and satisfying. Within a few days of anticipated delivery (about six weeks), a very professional delivery team delivered and set up the sofa for us.
Not only is the sofa comfortable and attractive, but we know that it is very well constructed and will last us a long time. This couple from Punta Gorda are totally satisfied with Palliser furniture and Leather Corner. We highly recommend both.
