We adopted Kiki from the Animal Foundation about twelve weeks ago with serious shelter trauma — she was nervous, timid, and afraid. We also needed to introduce her to our four year old Frenchie, Gus, who's very forward and pushy like most bulldogs are. Our vet recommended Brendan, and after speaking with him, we felt immediately comfortable. We loved how he interacted with Kiki and hired him to work with her training and fine-tune Gus's previous training.
Brendan was incredible. He was patient, genuinely understood all of Kiki's trauma, and paid close attention to the challenges she came to us with. Within 8 sessions, Kiki was following commands and is a genuinely happy dog because she understands what's expected of her and her boundaries. With the thoughtful plan Brendan gave us, we've been able to integrate Kiki and Gus into each other's lives. In the beginning of March my dog Fudge started her training sessions for obedience and to help her build more confidence. Fudge Is a rescue and just turned about a year old. She unfortunately was experiencing a lot of anxiety and fear when it came to different things Including car rides, interactions with other people, interactions with dogs and being out and about.
The transformation Fudge has honestly been incredible. Before training, she had a lot of fear and anxiety around car rides and struggled with confidence on walks. Now she hops in the car without fear, walks so much more calmly and confidently, and has genuinely become such a well-behaved dog.
One of the biggest things for me has been seeing how amazing she does off leash now. Her recall, confidence, and trust have improved so much, and it’s made such a difference in both her quality of life and mine.
You can truly tell how much care, patience, knowledge and time Brendan took into working with her. The training never felt harsh or rushed, every session was built on the progress she had made the previous week and what he thought she was ready for. I’m beyond grateful for everything Brendan has done for Fudge and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer who genuinely changes dogs lives for the better! Both Fudge and I had a great experience working with Brendan and will continue to join his training programs and pack walks.

We brought home our fourth dog… yes, a foster fail (don’t judge 😂) and our house honestly became complete chaos. I was trying to do it all myself using YouTube videos, internet advice, and every “free training tip” I could find, but I was completely overwhelmed and frustrated. Walks were miserable, the dogs were pulling like crazy, reacting to every dog they saw, and I felt like I looked like a drunk water skier every time I held a leash.
At one point I seriously looked into expensive board-and-train programs, but they felt completely wrong for what I actually needed — and were 5x the price. I wasn’t trying to train a bomb-sniffing police dog. I just wanted PEACE in my house and dogs that would listen.
That is EXACTLY what Brendan gave us.
The difference in our dogs is incredible. I can actually walk them now and they listen. The aggressive pulling and chaos when they see other dogs is basically gone. Our home feels calmer, structured, and manageable again. Brendan made the entire process feel easy and realistic for real life dog owners.

Got both of our dogs about 3 months apart from each other so both were in need of training. Breed wise we have a Boston and pit so my thoughts were that we do need professional training. Behavior wise my pitbull has been the most successful with following his training.
She responds to commands and is the most accomplished at this point, she also barely turned 1.
My Boston has been more challenging but I attribute that to her breed that is known for being stubborn, but she has still benefitted from her training. We are very satisfied and happy with Brendan. He is a total professional and works magic with the dogs, and is definitely recommended.

I cannot say enough positive things about Brendan and Lead and Thrive Dog Training. A year ago we adopted a dog from a local rescue. I found Lead & Thrive Dog Training about 3 years ago through our Vet. We had a very hyper dog with bad behaviors. The trainer did such an incredible job with him that we decided when we get any other dogs, they would go through the program as well. We got Duke as a puppy and knew that as soon as he was able to, he was going to get proper training. He is such a sweet little puppy, but needed some basic behavior training. Brendan was able to do that and much more. Duke is following his commands and I can confidently walk him on or off leash in public places.
