I have been involved in some way with SWLA for many years. They have consistently provided excellent information and support to landlords. Strangely enough I had not attended any of their webinars until January 2025 when I was on one about the impending changes in the law. It was excellent. A landlord who is not a member makes their task considerably harder. Well worth the subscription.

Great customer service, and well worth the membership fee For the first time in 12 years of being and landlord, I'm having to evict a tenant. Mandy and Anna have been incredibly helpful, talking me through filling out the necessary (but often baffling) forms with great patience and humour. It's a huge reassurance to have their expertise on hand. SWLA is a fantastic organisation - the regular newsletters are essential reading in these fast-changing times, the training courses on offer are excellent, and the partner discounts can easily offset the small membership fee over the course of a year. Most importantly though, the customer service is second to none. This morning I left a voicemail saying I was struggling with a form, and I was called back within five minutes! Very highly recommended.

I have always been impressed with their helpful attitude and more recently all their work with private landlords, agents and Plymouth City Council,. They work hard to educate and promote positive practices within the private rented sector. As a landlord, director and co-owner of a Professional Managing Agent, myself and my team benefit greatly from the courses that the SWLA provide. If you are a landlord or thinking about becoming a landlord, joining the SWLA will be the best pennies you have ever spent.

A great source of information and help. I would recommend every property owner and landlord joins! You get free advice, discount on things like insurance, up to date paperwork, tenancy agreements etc. They also offer training and courses.
