Would highly recommend and if you’ve managed to find George and his team, then you’re lucky. I wish I’d found them sooner. I recently had my chimney removed by George and his team after two other roofing companies had failed to fix continuous leaks. We found Lancashire Roofing and Building online after many searches and after reading the accreditations they had, along with the amazing reviews, we decided to obtain a quote for chimney removal. George provided a detailed quote breakdown for both fixture and removal and in the end I opted for removal to help long term. Who knew chimneys could be so problematic! George was very prompt with his inspection, communication, and everything was done when they said it would. That alone is quite hard to come by in this day and age.George’s team were really friendly and professional and I’m really happy we opted for them. If I’ve learnt anything from this experience is that there’s so many rogue roofers out there - go for someone accredited. Couldn’t fault the service, everything was pretty much boxed off within a couple of weeks of retrieving a quote! Would highly recommend Lancashire Roofing and Building - the service given of the removal of Dormer was excellent; George recognised the urgency of this issue and came to inspect sooner than planned and within a week of the quote acceptance the job was done! Exceptional work from an exceptional team! I had a leaking roof and skylight, and George came out quickly, treated it with urgency, and maintained contact throughout. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and patient which I found reassuring after a previous bad experience. He very generously donated the special slates I needed due to gradient of my roof aswell. Such a kind thing to do.
The team — Charlie, Brandon, Levi, Chas and Tom — arrived promptly on the Friday, were so polite, and worked hard from the moment they got here. Charlie oversaw everything, installed the new skylight and answered a million questions tirelessly. He even fixed extra issues he'd spotted, and gave me his number to call day or night if I needed to. Very thoughtful. Everyone was so respectful in my home, incredibly patient and knowledgeable. Such lovely, lovely lads who are an absolute pleasure to have around.
Brandon and Levi returned on Monday to finish up and were so helpful and knowledgeable, explaining everything that had been done clearly and even securing my drainpipe and guttering. They then happily helped my neighbour despite it being so late in the cold and rain. Charlie and Chas returned again on Tuesday to make sure everything was perfect.
Everyone went above and beyond at every step, fitting me in before Christmas and working around storms. They are honest, kind, and genuinely care about their work and customers. Don't accept imitations, check their website and social media to see their faces so you know who they are. It's not fair that unscrupulous people are pretending to be them. I’m so grateful to George, Charlie, Levi, Brandon, Chas and Tom — thank you so, so much you’ve all been wonderful!
I had a great experience with Lancashire Roofing. George and the team were very approachable, friendly, and easy to communicate with from the start. They explained everything clearly and carried out the work — re-pointing the chimney and installing new lead flashing — professionally, on time, and to a high standard.
What really stood out was their honesty and aftercare. They even came back a year later to check that everything was still in good condition, which offered so much reassurance and really shows the pride they take in their work. Thanks to them, I can sleep well at night knowing the roof is sound and well looked after.

This was the second time we have used Lancashire Roofing and Building and George and his team did not disappoint. From discussing the proposed work, to when they would be on site and then checking in afterwards, George was super helpful and responsive. The lads worked cleanly and efficiently and to a very high standard. We were completely happy with both jobs on both properties and wouldn't hesitate to use LRB again. Great to find a local company that delivers on what they promise.
Polite and courteous when quoting and George said he could do the roof works. However, some days later received a call from George to say they now had no time to carry out the job. So time was wasted. He reccomended another roofer friend who were very disappointing and unreliable and after being friendly and assuring us he could do the job too, we never heard from them again and he ignored all my messages). So hard to find reliable tradesmen.
So note to George, don't reccomended unreliable roofers.

George, you should not post names of people you didn't speak to. Especially my elderly mothers as she wasn't involved. Its confidential and unprofessional, but its fine. Nothing to hide.
When I called Lancashire Roofing, I explained in some detail what we wanted quoting for. I asked if the company had time, as we had some issues we were looking to resolve, and I was told that you do schedule works in but can't give me a date until you come out and look at the job.
When you came out a week later, you used your drone and looked at the job. I asked if you could do it and you indicated you could by saying you would send me a quote and have a look at the diary and let us know timing. Then you called us a few days later to say actually you could not do the job at all. You were too busy. So why come out at all if you are so busy - and the job was described over a week before to your receptionist. It is wasting peoples time.
I did appreciate your good will gesture...however you said it was your 'friend' and he had time. I was simply giving you feedback back to let you know that after your roofer friend came out, he too said he would definitely do it (as you couldn't) and he would send me a quote. He didn't ever come back to me. So you probably shouldn't recommend him as he was very unprofessional. I have text messages proving this.
When I called your company on 24th Sept I asked to speak with you about your reccomendation and just to simply let you know. I was told you were busy she would pass the message on and you would call me back. You didn't. So that was also not professional. So yes you get 3 stars. Our experience with you and no call back was not 5 stars, but you also didn't get 1 star. The 3 stars is not relating to the quality of your work - more the fact of your customer care and not being totally transparent with not having time to do jobs that have already been described. I think its very fair George as we have had the run around. Thank you.

Thank you again for your further feedback. We again emphasise that from the outset we explained we would need to check our schedule before confirming if we could take on the work. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances meant a job we were already working on overran, and we informed you as soon as possible that we could not commit. This can happen on occasion more so when factoring in the weather and so unfortunately in some instances we simply cannot take on all the work that we quote for. Nonetheless we are sorry that you feel you were let down but it was out of our control. I did sincerely apologise when informing you.
We suggested another roofer as a goodwill gesture, but we cannot be responsible for the actions of independent contractors. Again we are sorry that this did not work out and we thank you for the feedback which is noted.
I was on annual leave at the time of your follow-up call, which is why I was unable to respond immediately. Furthermore we did receive correspondence under two different names, which may have added to some of the confusion.
We are confident we acted professionally and courteously throughout. While we appreciate your comments, we do feel a 3-star review is not a fair reflection especially considering we did not actually carry out any work for you, however you are entitled to your opinion on the matter and we wish you the best of luck in finding a suitable contractor.

Great service from the initial detailed quote to the friendly, knowledgeable and efficient team who did the work to the good after care. I needed a chimney leak fixed that the previous owners had attempted twice without success. This time it’s sorted! Had my roof terrace waterproofed and it’s made a real difference-properly installed and insulated - no more unsightly rotting timber. I contacted a few roofing companies about a leak from our chimney and some maintenance work that was needed on our roof. George provided a more detailed quote than others. The 4-man team that worked on our property for a couple of days were friendly and professional. The working conditions were tough on the first day as it was very hot that day, but in spite of the heat the team concentrated on getting on with the job. George kept us updated during the course of the work, sending us several photos and a couple of short videos which showed in more detail the condition of the roof and what work they were doing, and Charlie in charge if the team made for an excellent liaison.
Since the work has been done (and payment made), the team have been back to carry out one small aspect of the work that had yet to be done and George has provided advice and guidance over a remaining internal damp patch that appears to be related to hygroscopic salt-contaminated plaster (you’d have to google that!). We are pleased we chose Lancashire Roofing.

Fabulous team. Charlie and Brandon turned up when they said they would, did a really great job of fixing previous builder's mistakes, always left the site clean and tidy and even arranged for a late clear up on a wet Friday night to make sure the drive was available for parking for a family party. Professional, personable and a pleasure to have round. George was always available to answer questions or provide advice. The reultant roof is perfect including the skylight.
