I stayed at Kolping for 2 months. The interior is simple but solid, and the food is good — a great value since it’s included in the rent. But the absolute highlight is the community. Everyone is very friendly, and in my case I immediately made meaningful connections. We spent time together in the city and hung out in the evenings. I would definitely come back — highly recommended for anyone looking not just for accommodation, but for a social and welcoming environment.
I highly recommend this place for students and interns--especially students on rotating externships that only need to stay in NYC for a few weeks. The rent is affordable and the room is big enough to sleep, store luggages, and study in. Building is pretty quiet eventhough many rooms are filled. Dinner is included and transportation to the rest of Manhattan is within reach!
I had a great stay at Kolping House! It offers excellent value for the price – a real gem for those traveling on a budget. The location is fantastic, just a few blocks from Central Park and very close to the 86th Street subway station, which makes getting around super easy.
Meals are provided and actually quite good, which is a big plus. The entire place is very clean, including the shared bathrooms and toilets, which were always well maintained.
What really stood out to me was how kind and friendly all the staff were – everyone made me feel very welcome.
I would 100% recommend Kolping House to anyone looking for affordable, comfortable accommodation in a great part of NYC!

Soy pasajero frecuente de la excelente Kolping House de Nueva York. Magnífico lugar, atendido por profesiionales de primer nivel, con una calidez poco común y la sensación de sentirme como en mi casa. Siempre muy agradecido y sin lugar a dudas es mi lugar en la Big Apple!
