we used Key Mortgages to help us buy our first home. They were fantastic and very helpful throughout the whole process. As first time buyers, the buying a house process can be very overwhelming but Joel our mortgage broker was great in explaining and helping us understand, and he managed to get us a great rate. The app is also great to have all your documents in one place and easy to access. I Would highly recommend Key Mortgages and would definitely use them again!

Peter Grout is a godsend! We've worked with Peter Grout twice now and could not be happier with his service. We'd never considered using a mortgage advisor (always just did our best with google searches) until a friend recommended him and now I'm so relieved we did. Our first time was a really stressful and complex house move and not only did Peter go out of his way to be available to sort any and all paperwork and issues out for us at any time of day, he found us a deal that we'd never have considered ourselves and then moved us onto a better rate a few months later without us even having to ask. With our current mortgage renewal, he was also really proactive and sorted us out for our next rate literally the day before rates spiked with the war in the Middle East, even though we have a few months left on our current term. He always takes the time to explain exactly what's going on in the market and goes above and beyond to get things done so his clients don't need to worry. I also didn't realise quite how many rates he has access to - something like >1400 so he can review what's best really quickly and find deals that you can't just get via google. If you're in any doubt about whether you need a mortgage advisor, I cannot recommend Peter highly enough.

They first helped us when we bought our first home back in 2019, guiding us through the whole process with clear advice and making what felt like a daunting experience much easier to understand. Since then, they have also supported us through our last two mortgage reviews, always taking the time to explain our options and helping us find the best deal for our situation. Their knowledge, professionalism, and responsiveness have been excellent every time we’ve worked together. Communication has always been quick and clear, and we’ve always felt confident that they genuinely have our best interests at heart. I can't speak highly enough of Key mortgages and especially Peter. We have used Peter now for our mortgage services for our last 3 renewals. He is by far the best we've used. What I like the most about Peter is how he explains everything simply, no jargon, in a way that we can understand and digest the information. He always tries to get the best for us and the best possible deals on the market, thinking of different scenarios to consider. Most importantly for me, is the prompt responses, it makes such a difference knowing that if I have a question, I know I can ask Peter and I can get a quick response. Extremely reliable, likeable, friendly, professional, who we will continue to use going forward.

Key Mortgages is the only broker you should be using, we used Peter Grout who was recommended to us by friends. Peter worked so hard to get us a good mortgage and he put up with my 1000 questions and emails and always was kind throughout, nothing ever felt too much and he really made us feel at ease! The admin team aswell was spot on and sorted our documents for us and kept us in the loop and communicated with our solicitors and regularly updated us. 5 star service, we will not be using anyone else in future.

I had a teams meeting with Joel to discuss finance options for buying a property at auction. The meeting seemed to go well and Joel was going to look at some options for me, he followed up immediately with an email and told me he’d get back to me within around 48hours with the options. After a week I contacted Joel to check he wasn’t waiting on anything from me and I’ve heard nothing at all since. This was around 6 weeks ago. If he hadn’t been able to find anything that was suitable for my needs, a quick email to explain wouldn’t have taken very long to send. Very disappointing as I chose Key Mortgages based on the many positive reviews.

I had a stress-free and hassle-free experience arranging a mortgage with Key Mortgages. My advisor, Joel, listened to what I needed and understood where to look without ever having to ask twice. It was a tricky ask too, as I’m 52 and trying to get back on the property ladder on a single income, but they came through, and managed our meetings online at times to suit me. Very professional, great communications, and a lovely personal touch. Would definitely recommend!

Key mortgages have been great, they always kept us up to date with the progress of our sale and mortgage requirements. They have recently updated their app which helps you keep in touch with the team. We have been using Peter Grout as our adviser for 5 years and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. He is extremely knowledgable and professional. Peter always went above and beyond. Our sale was abit of a rollercoaster but Peter worked with us every step of the way supporting us, even keeping in contact with our estate agents to chase them and make sure the wheels kept turning. There was no question Peter wasn’t able to answer. Even when we was waiting for the solicitors to complete there searches and enquiries, the interest rates dropped, and Peter contacted us to let us know he was going to resubmit our mortgage and saved us monies on our monthly repayments on our new property! We didn’t only complete our mortgage with Key Mortgages, we also got advice and took out our Life Insurance. Peter found us the best value with the best cover for myself and my self employed partner. In short, if you’re a first time buyer or looking at buying your next property, I highly recommend Peter Grout.
