On Apr 14, 2026 we got a $79.00 oil change done on our 2016 Kia Soul. Afterwards, we came home and parked the car in our clean designated parking spot. For the next three days, there were puddles of oil underneath the car. We first thought it was residue from the skid plate that wasn’t properly cleaned off. So we brought the car back to this dealer and got it checked out. Service came back with an estimate of $937.00 to get the oil pan replaced. The Service suggested that the leak may have been caused by the hot weather. They checked the leak, and said it is from the oil pan. The car never leaked any oil at all until we brought the car in for an oil change. I am not very happy with this service.

After carefully inspecting your vehicle and reviewing the situation, we confirmed that the source of the leak is the oil pan itself. While the timing understandably raises concern, this type of issue is unfortunately a coincidence and is not related to the oil change service that was performed. The oil change process does not involve any components or procedures that would cause damage to the oil pan.
Additionally, the photos and inspection findings support that the leak originates from the oil pan housing rather than from the drain plug, filter, or any components involved in the oil change service. Over time, factors such as material fatigue, environmental conditions, or road debris can contribute to oil pan failure.
We always strive to provide transparent and accurate assessments, and our recommendation was made based on the condition of the part at the time of inspection.

Car had check oil light on, and Kia arranged for a tow truck using our extended coverage. We were also able to take advantage of a loaner car for the week our vehicle was in the shop. Everything was covered by the extended warranty with the exception of the $100 deductible. Great service.kk Pleasant and efficient.

I arrived at the Kamloops Dealership and was greeted at the door by a man and asked if he could help me. I said I was there for a oil change . I was pointed to the service counter and immediately helped. On picking up my Soltis I was told my oil change was free. Also on the no charge bill I noticed other vehicle safety checks they performed for no charge. That is why I love Kamloops Kia. I still have 3 free oil changes
