Holeda was our friendly and knowledgeable guide for the day. Everywhere we stopped people were friendly and helpful. The forest is beautiful to walk through to get to the waterfalls and the monkey forest. Seeing the traditional coffee and coconut making process was also a highlight. A great day out.

Great excursion, even better guides At the day of the tour, 1 hour prior to the agreed pickup time we received a message to check if the pickup time suited us still. At the pickup time Kiki was our driver to get to Tetebatu. The most friendly and kind men we met so far in Sengiggi. Hé droeve us safe with a lot of Information over where we past all the way to Tetebatu and back. Eddy took over and guided us via his families coffee Brewers, the coconut factory, the rise fields, 2 waterfalls, a great place to have lunch and the black monkey forrest. During all of this he told a lot about the vegitation, knew on every question we asked an answer and showed us the black monkeys. Eddy and Kiki, thank you so much for your enthousiasm, the both of you made this great trip even better

Fun times in Lombok Amazing experience with Eddy and Kiki. They were excellent to talk to and shared insights into life as a local in Lombok and were very accommodating to me and my family's needs throughout the day. The definite highlight was seeing the black and grey monkies and the food was spectacular. Would love to visit and try another tour with this group!

From tetebatu's fall to monkey rain ;) We spent a great day with our guide, Holidi, a very nice, cheerfull and and enthousiastic man, always in search to our maximal confort, and with a lot to tell about Tetebatu's way of life. Our driver was eitherly nice, on time (even early at morning pickup), and glad to show you some details on the road about the region. He's also had the quality to be calm and more quiet when he feel the we wanted to stay on our thoughts. Great tour!

Amazing Day with Eddy and Kiki Kiki and Eddy were wonderful! Kiki texted me beforehand to let me know he would be my driver. He gave me an overview of the tour in the car, and when I realized I needed a swimsuit he kindly turned the car around and took me back to the hotel to get it (which saved the day!) he taught me all about Lombok, the farming, the culture, and answered all of my questions. He had chilled water for me and charged my phone and stopped if I wanted to take a photo. Eddy was a great tour guide. We walked through fields and around rice paddies and up hills and over irrigation ditches. He made sure I didn't slip or fall. The waterfalls were absolutely beautiful and refreshing to swim in and Eddy let me swim as long as I wanted to. The Monkey Forest was very cool and we saw very active black monkeys (Javan lutung). Overall it was so much more beautiful than I expected. I had an amazing day. A few things: I was traveling solo but there was no option for one person so I had to pay for 2 people, which makes it more expensive if you are solo. Bring a swimsuit and watershoes for the waterfalls (you have to walk through a stream to get to the first one). You will be walking through fields, so if you have sensitive skin I recommend wearing pants or at least tall socks.

Vielen Dank an Kiki und Eddy für den gelungenen Tag! Wir hatten einen richtig tollen Ausflug auf Lombok und können die Tour absolut weiterempfehlen! Die Organisation war super und alles hat von Anfang bis Ende reibungslos geklappt. Ein besonderes Dankeschön geht an unseren Fahrer Kiki und unseren Guide Eddy – beide waren total sympathisch, zuverlässig und haben einen richtig tollen Job gemacht. Ein echtes Highlight war die Beobachtung der schwarzen Affen. Wir hatten richtig Glück und konnten gleich mehrere Gruppen in Ruhe beobachten – ein wirklich schönes Erlebnis! Una experiencia local, auténtica y muy completa 🌴☕🐒 Una excursión que merece mucho la pena. Kiki y Eddy fueron muy amables durante todo el día y explicaron todo muy bien. La experiencia fue muy local y auténtica. Pudimos ver cómo se muele y se tuesta el café con arroz, además de conocer todo el proceso de elaboración del aceite de coco. También nos dieron a probar café y coco, lo cual fue un detalle genial. Visitamos las terrazas de arroz, rodeadas de muchísimos árboles frutales, y también el bosque de los monos. Los monos eran bastante tímidos y muchos estaban a gran altura entre los árboles, así que había que fijarse bien para encontrarlos 🐒🌳. Después vimos dos cascadas bastante bonitas y nos dieron de comer. El transporte estuvo bien organizado y todo fue bastante cómodo. Yo tengo 21 años y fui con mi madre, que tiene 57, y el paseo nos resultó llevadero. Eso sí, si buscas una expedición de senderismo intenso o caminar muchas horas, esta no es ese tipo de excursión. Es más una experiencia para conocer la naturaleza, la cultura y la vida local tranquilamente. En general, una experiencia muy recomendable si quieres conocer una parte más auténtica de Tetebatu. ¡Gracias a Kiki y Eddy por el día! 🙌🌴☕🥥

Tete Batu walking tour! We had the most amazing day!!! Kiki, our driver, picked us up from our hotel in Kuta and drove us to Tetebatu. He was so friendly and fun to chat with and even had cold drinks ready for us. Once we arrived, our guide Kholidi took over, and we honestly couldn’t have wished for a better guide. We spent 8 hours with a lot of laughing, chatting, exploring and learning. It was such a fun and memorable day! We would 100% recommend this tour to everyone. An unforgettable adventure – Eddy and Kiki deserve a raise! We had an absolutely amazing day on the Tetebatu Walking Tour – Rice Terraces, Waterfalls & Monkey Forest Private Tour. It was a perfect mix of adventure, nature, culture, fun, and learning, especially for our children. Our Local Guide, Eddy, was simply fantastic! He did an outstanding job of making the entire tour exciting, entertaining, and very child-friendly. He explained everything in such a cool, easy-to-understand, and engaging way that the children were fascinated from beginning to end. Eddy really knows how to turn a normal walk into a true adventure! Right from the start, we explored the beautiful emerald-green rice terraces. Our kids even had the opportunity to help process the rice by separating the rice grains from the plants and then learning how they are cleaned and washed. It was a wonderful hands-on experience and something the children will definitely remember. The walk to Air Terjun Sarang Walet Tetebatu Waterfall was particularly adventurous. The children felt like they were in an Indiana Jones movie! We crossed narrow and slightly shaky bamboo bridges, walked alongside rivers through narrow gorges, passed hanging lianas, and had water dripping down on us like rain from all directions. At times, we had to walk through the river and climb over rocks before finally reaching the waterfall. It was an absolutely fantastic adventure for the whole family! We then continued through more beautiful rice fields and terraces to another waterfall, the Tetebatu Waterfall, where we walked down steep stairs to reach the impressive destination. During the hike, Eddy showed us so many fascinating plants, fruits, and spices. The children could even taste hibiscus flowers, which had a surprisingly sweet, honey-like flavor. One of the funniest discoveries was the “Shy Lady” Magic Flower (Mimosa) – when you touch its leaves, they close completely, just like a shy lady! The children absolutely loved it. Throughout the day, we saw and learned about so many things, including hibiscus, mimosa, jackfruit, avocado, cacao, coffee, rice, bananas, coconuts, papaya, nutmeg, cloves, vanilla, dragon fruit, cinnamon, mangoes, and much more. We also learned a lot about local agriculture and everyday life in Lombok. After our adventures, we enjoyed lunch at the Warung Monkey Forest before continuing into the Monkey Forest. Seeing the monkeys in their natural environment was a great way to finish such an exciting and adventure-filled day. A very special mention also goes to our driver, Kiki. He was absolutely brilliant! Kiki created a great atmosphere in the car, made the long drives very enjoyable, and shared a lot of interesting and informative knowledge with us along the way. We always felt comfortable and safe, and the journey was incredibly pleasant thanks to him. Eddy and Kiki are an amazing team and truly made this tour special. Their boss should definitely consider giving both of them a salary raise! Good staff like Eddy and Kiki are very difficult to find. Their enthusiasm, friendliness, knowledge, and passion for their work made a huge difference and turned this tour into an unforgettable experience for our entire family. We can highly recommend this tour to everyone – especially families with children looking for a real adventure while also learning about the beautiful nature, culture, and traditions of Lombok. Fantastic trip - put on your to do list while in Lombok. A fantastic day exploring Tetebatu and the monkey forest. Everything was processionally run from being picked up to being dropped off at our villa in Kuta. Our driver was cautious and very approachable. Our guide Holide absolutely made this experience perfect. He was very knowledgeable, spoke great English and was really fun to be around. Lunch was delicious and the waterfalls were beautiful. Great to see the black monkeys and also to go into the local villages and watch/help make local coffee and drink it. Watching the process of how the coconuts are processed into oil was also really interesting. I couldn’t recommend this trip highly enough. Once again Holide our guide was the best.
