Hired John Dominick to do a smaller job for me when we first bought our house. His professional and courteous team won me over on the spot. When it came time to do my kitchen he was the first GC I called for a quote. Their attention to detail and quality workmanship is rare these days. Did the project go off without hitch, no. They never do. How they handle the issues speaks volumes however. They are responsive and treat your job like its their own home. Best on the island

John Dominick Cusumano was professional and excellent in his work. His office staff were professional and courteous. Others were unwilling to take on a job of an ac installation but this company was quite willing to install the ac on the third floor with no problem at a very reasonable price. The workers put the new sleeve, new ac and sealed the outside. Because they took on a small job and even worked on a Saturday, I would recommend them to anyone and I would call them for any other projects. Fabulous all around!

Top-notch work! Replaced a walkway in one day and were a pleasure to deal with. From his competent office staff , workers and Dominick himself. They didn’t leave a drop of cement anywhere , so well done even my old school Italian father approved of their work ! Price was also comparable to any other estimates we received if not better. After years of seeing water damage (but never any actual water) and after a parade of roofers with differing opinions and a wide range of prices an ad for John Dominick Cusumano caught my eye. The ad said “deal with the owner”. From my first call for an estimate to the completion of the job the entire experience was flawless! PRICING: As promised, the owner came, went up on the roof, took pictures and sat down with me to explain what he had found. He then gave me a written estimate. My experience has been this; I don’t want the cheapest guy; he will likely cut corners or use shoddy materials. I don’t want the most expensive guy because he is likely just trying to take advantage. The price I got was right in the middle of the range of pricing I had gotten previously. WORKMANSHIP: on the appointed day a crew, headed by a foreman showed up on time. They were efficient, quickly getting to work to rip off the old roof. None of this let’s just put the new one on top of the old one nonsense! They worked hard all day, stopping only for lunch. They flashed everything that required flashing with new copper flashing. Unlike many contractors I have seen (and heard) in my neighborhood there was no loud music, yelling or other disturbance. They were there to work and work they did! FINISHED PRODUCT: Both the foreman and the owner checked the job after it was finished. The foreman even asked to go up into the attic because he saw some damage on the slate part of my roof and sure enough there was evidence of a leak in that area. The roof they replaced was a shingle roof. The main part of my 84 year old home is slate. They have expertise in all roofing materials and will be coming back to replace broken slates as part of routine maintenance. EXPERIENCE My experience with John Dominick Cusumano was definitely 5 star on every level! I very strongly recommend them if you want a job that is fairly priced, competently done and truly easy on the homeowner from start to finish. As always, I suggest you be careful of similarly named companies whenever you Google a company for their contact info. CUSUMANO…THANK YOU FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

Once again, John Dominic Cusumano pleased beyond expectations! Recently had windows replaced and I reviewed then as *Top Notch* Contractors! As a result there were things in my home I kept putting off because of how difficult it is to find a *GREAT* contractor! Because of my previous experience with them, I called them back to quote on REPLACING wood floors in my home! We agreed to a price and soon thereafter the work began! The end result is astounding! My floors were in bad shape, after 67 years and not only did they have to be replaced but the entire beams and insulation had to go as well! The end result is amazing! Both rooms came out to be as though they were just built with the house! Their employees are top notch! From setting up all protective covering and blocking off that area of the house, we didn't experience much inconvenience or "dust" considering the scope of work that had to be done! Dominic said 4 days and 4 days it was! Clean up and replacement of moldings and painting along with any touch ups necessary due to the scope of work, done within 1 day! We are in love with our new floors and know that this company will always be our "go to" for any projects in our home! We just finished a floor project in our house. We couldn’t be happier with entire process from estimating, signing contract, scheduling a date to the very last minute of final details. Dominick and his office were always there to answer the questions, concerns or issues. The team of the people working in the house is highly professional. They were making every effort to feel us comfortable in the midst of demolition and other works. The project was done in shorter than promised time. They were extremely efficient, their workers are prompt, nice and clean up really well before they leave every day, and lastly our work was completed about 5 weeks sooner than anticipated. We will continue to recommend this company and if you’re thinking about using them, do it!

Personable and professional! I had wanted to get work done on my house and after crowdsourcing all my different options in Malverne, John Dominick stood out as the right business for the job. One curiously funny thing that happened was someone with a white late model Hyundai from Malverne Town Hall stole the Cusumano’s lawn sign off my lawn(I have it on video) I asked Cusumano about it and they were not surprise by it. Who knew Malverne was actually an overbearing home owners association? I surely didn’t but Debra from the Cusumano’s absolutely wanted to make it right, they offered new lawn signs lol. I’m glad I met them and would absolutely hire again. The best!
