We own 2 rental houses, in Colne and Nelson. We struggled to have work done to an acceptable standard. We had been quoted £4,000 regarding a damp problem and had been told that all the roof struts needed replacing as they were rotten. We decided to get a second quote. I found James on Trustatrader and asked him to look at the problem. Without being informed of our previous quote he told us that the roof was sound and that it was just a leaking gutter. His quote was £150. Our tenant was pleased with the work. We have since had him to replace a velux window in one property and a standard opening window in the other property, all at very reasonable cost and work well done according to our tenants.
We did have a further problem with the gutter but James did not hesitate to return to the property and resolve the matter.
I find James very easy to work with, honest and reliable and would not hesitate to recommend him.
We contacted James about a leak in our loft and a fractured soil pipe. He came to view the problem and recommended what remedial work was required. We then agreed a date for the work to be completed.
James and his colleague arrived early morning and completed the work ( to a very high standard) the same day.
Quality and price wise he is more than comparable with other companies doing this kind of work.

James was very professional and very reasonably priced. He renovated our house from a new roof downwards. Including all 3 bedrooms plastered and false ceilings. A new bathroom. A large extension on the front which required diversion of services to accommodate. The whole house was then K rendered on completion. We are so happy with the work James did and nothing was too much trouble. We were still living in the house at the time of the works and James went out of his way to make sure the works had minimal impact and he always left site clean and tidy. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for an honest hard working builder who takes great pride in his work.
