For the second consecutive year, I’ve asked Holly to plant up my containers and hanging baskets. Today, Holly and Nicky delivered 5 planters and 3 hanging baskets, all of which look fabulous. Previously, I have spent a similar sum at a garden centre to do it myself and my efforts just look terrible in comparison. Leave it to the professionals! Holly has just won a gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show and it is truly well deserved. Congratulations “In the Garden”.

They were absolutely helpful in answering so many of my questions about my plants and care. Super patient and happy to advise! I can't wait to go back to them for soil and other needs come spring.

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Holly at the West Hampstead store. I was looking for a present for my sister's birthday and was given educational and insightful plant advice. I really appreciated the wrapping and presentation of my purchase and discourse regarding finding the store on Google and elevating a great small business. After looking around for some carnivorous plants, I sent an email to Holly yesterday and within a few hours in the evening, she got back to me with photos and prices on what they had in store!
Today, I went in and omg it's a mini jungle!! Not huge with room so be careful when there's customers inside but the entire atmosphere was wonderful! Holly was jotting in an out, talking to customers and making sure everyone was well informed at what plant they were interested in! There was even a customer who was wanting a plant but said they had little light and Holly voiced her concern for the plant they picked! One thing is for sure: they *care* about plants here!
I've been to many garden centres where they'll tell you all sorts of rubbish just to make a sale... The previous garden centre I was at, every single Nepenthes they had in store was hung underneath the table with zero light and water. When I asked someone about their dried state, he condescendingly pointed towards a new leaf and said, "They're just like that. Look, there's new ones here." Only Jesus can save those plants now...
But at 'In the Garden' EVERY plant was THRIVING!! I got my hands on a moist little Nepenthes and even got an extra Praying Plant too! When Holly was wrapping them up, she even pruned an old leaf. They're proud here of their plants and I will 100% be returning with my partner and friends too when we've settled into London more!
I cannot recommend this shop enough. There was such a large selection of exotic, colourful and vibrant plants here that anyone can enjoy, so please give this place a visit!! The owners are so lovely with big hearts - I see no reason to visit any other garden centre in London from now on!!

Oh my god, don't get me started.
I love this place to bits. It's like entering a jungle as you walk through the door. All the plants are well taken care of and I have not noticed any pests when I have been inspecting plants to take home.
Holly is lovely and is always receptive to helping you out. I recently bought a big Monstera and a smaller pothos and Holly helped me to put in a moss pole and told me when to repot, etc.
Affordable prices, lovely staff, and healthy plants! What more can a girl wish for?!

I love buying plants from Holly, Nikki and Graham. They are so insightful and give a lot of helpful advice, including: how to get started with container gardening, what plants to recommend for my balcony, how I might curate them together, which ones work for various lighting conditions (indoor and outdoor), and also really good post-sale support. They are so kind too! Graham once helped carry my plants home and Holly helped to refresh the soil of one of my indoor plants.
The plants are of very good quality! No slugs, no snails, no disease (seems like a minimum bar, but you’d be surprised what you find selling elsewhere at the larger garden centers). Would highly recommend!

Lovely and helpful people. I bought a bunch of outdoor plants - Geum, Geranium, Salvia etc. They helped me choose the right plants for my garden and offered great tips. Just potted them up in our garden and they are all looking great... can't wait to go back for more.
