This family-run business is an absolute gem! Every item I’ve tried—from the fresh and frozen meals to the appetizers, desserts, and spice blends—has been incredibly delicious. You can truly taste the difference when food is made from scratch with quality ingredients and genuine care.
Everything is homemade, full of flavor, and prepared with obvious love and attention to detail. It’s rare to find food that feels this comforting and authentic. Whether you’re looking for a quick meal, a special dessert, or flavorful spices to elevate your cooking, they consistently deliver excellence.
Supporting a local family business that puts so much heart into what they do makes the experience even better. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!
Me and my husband have been dying to come in and try some of their food but our work schedules haven’t allowed it till yesterday! We bought a lot as first time customers. We got the roast chicken dinner and wow!! It was so good I went back the next day and got two more. My husband did have one note and was he wished there was more gravy for it. When I went in and just mentioned what he said they ended up giving us some more gravy! I cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond for their customers and thinking of feedback. Thank you we will be forever customers.
Hands down the best food in town. I moved here from Nanaimo and have honestly been disappointed with the restaurant options- until now. Burnin Stuff has completely changed that. I'm actually excited for a night in with their food. And as someone who has tried mac and cheese from an embarrassing number of places, I can confidently say theirs is the best I've ever had. No contest.
Great place. Friendly staff. Clean facilities and everything displayed in fridges and freezers in different portion sizes. Great prices for how much food you get as well. I have tried half the food I brought home and it has been delicious! Exactly the type of store I have been looking for. Definitely gained a steady customer!
If you haven’t checked out Burnin’ Stuff yet, you’re missing out! Lucas, the owner, puts his heart into every single meal — and you can taste it. Everything is handmade, fresh, and absolutely delicious.
What I love most is the variety: whether you’re gluten-free, vegetarian, pescatarian, or just looking for a hearty meat dish, there’s something for everyone. The meals are ready to go, making it so easy to eat healthy and local without the hassle of cooking after a long day.
Supporting Burnin’ Stuff means supporting a new local business — and one that truly deserves it. Lucas does all the food prep and cooking himself, and it shows in the quality. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
Do yourself a favor and give Burnin’ Stuff a try. Your taste buds will thank you!
It’s hard not to like this place. A welcome new venture close to downtown in Campbell River with passionate, friendly and engaging owners, an experienced chef, and very good comfort food recipes that have obviously been tested and perfected for take out. There is no doubt this is a great place to get a meal when you don’t want to do any cooking, and it is far superior to the local grocery store’s offerings that’s for sure. I just love supporting local.
I’ve been here twice now since they opened. I’m only in Campbell a few times a month, but I look forward to trying something new when I’m in town, and not to have to cook when I get home to Gold River. So far I’ve had the beef shepherd’s pie, beef pot pies, pulled pork enchiladas and black forest trifle. Also got some local spot prawns for an important birthday meal. They have tuna loins too that looked great and fairly priced. The meals have been good-very good, and the dessert was a hit.
As any chef and new business owner knows some feedback and even some fair criticism helps move things forward. I can say without hesitation that the meats (roast beef and pulled pork that I’ve tried) have been awesome and obviously made in-house. I’ve had the beef pot pies, very tasty, but one of them seemed to be vegetarian, with very little beef. Hopefully an honest mistake and a one-off. The beef shepherd’s pie was good, but maybe a bit light on the serving size for the $. The pulled pork enchiladas were good, big portions, and again I go back to the in-house roasted meats, just perfect. The sauce was too sweet for me but some hot sauce really helped, and the tortillas became dry when heated. One thing I’ve noticed as a foodie and home cook (that’s been around for a while) is that it’s obvious when you get food service suppliers’ product vs. homemade. I have to mention the same whole kernel corn that has shown up in every entrée I’ve had so far. I know Sysco is a thing, but perhaps scale back on them and do more in-house and use the fresh ingredients that abound in the area, especially at this time of year. 😊
Good luck, and yes, I’ll be back. Looking forward to trying your soups, and other entrees.
