However Leah was very professional and transparent through the whole process, offering alternatives in case equipment didn't arrive in time. From start to finish Innovate Electrical and Solar were fantastic. Leah was extremely help and explained the whole process, providing quotes for multiple battery and solar systems. These quotes also included the removal of an existing solar system, as well as a full upgrade of the mainboard. We ended up deciding on a 13.6KW set of solar panels (Jink Solar Tiger), with a 15KW 3-phase inverter and 49.9KWh battery (GoodWe ESA).
I indicated to Leah, that we intended to complete a roof repair and restoration around the same time. She arranged for David and his team to come and complete the site inspection as well as remove the existing system. This allowed for the roof repairs to be completed without a solar system on the roof (which the roofer was extremely thankful for).
During the site inspection David was extremely helpful and explained the whole process, including the optimal location for the battery. This ended up being on the sheltered south wall of my house, avoiding the build-up of heat in the garage (as well as removing the issue of reducing car space).
During the intervening couple of weeks, Leah notified me of a supply issue, which was looking like impacting the ability to install the 15KWh 3-phase inverter. Leah explored a number of solutions and in the end was able to source the inverter last minute from an interstate distributor. Leah kept us informed the whole way through and the effort that Leah took was greatly appreciated.
Once the roof repairs were completed (slight delays due to weather), Leah arranged for David and the team to return and complete the installation.
David and his team arrived around 7:30am and began preparing for the installation. Whilst this was happening Luke, walked me through the upgrade to the mainboard, including checking which circuits I wanted on battery backup. Thorough the day David and the team provided me updates on the progress.
Due to the size of the system (and the fact that the mainboard was ancient) David and the team finished up the installation around 4:30pm. David then walked me through the setup of the system, as well as showed me how to use the GoodWe SEMS+ app. By the time the team had packed and cleaned up it was roughly 5:30pm.
Unfortunately, during the night two the circuits on the battery back up tripped. One of the circuits was unable to be reset and I contacted David the next morning for support. During the day, I also noticed that the excess solar was not exporting to the grid. David returned that evening troubleshoot both issues. David ended up spending over two hours working out the issues, as well as removing two faulty sensors lights and replacing one of them.
Since then (nearly two weeks), the system has worked perfectly. We have been able to complete our day to day (including charging an EV) and have yet to import any power from the grid, though I suspect this may happen in the middle of winter.
In summary, Leah, David and the team were fantastic, they ensured that the installation was as smooth as possible. I would highly recommend their services and would happily use them again in the future.
Right from the start, Leah was more than helpful in getting everything set up with the correct battery that we would need and pricing. Once we accepted the quote, a date for installation was set so we wouldn’t miss out on the government rebate.
Day of the installation was smooth as can be (except for the storm at the end of the day, which the boys still worked through). Dave and the boys got straight into and discussed any requirements that we might have in regards to location etc.

Once done, he got the system and everything operational, then walked us through how to navigate the system through the app very patiently after a hot, sunny install.
After the installation, Innovate Electrical and Solar's post-installation support was exceptional and prompt.
David and Leah, both extended their customer care when weeks after, we experienced an outage in our property, and contacted them. They were very helpful in navigating us on what to do and who to contact, and got our power back and running in no time, even if it had nothing to do with their installation as the backup battery system was running flawlessly that we didn't notice until the app notification.
Overall, Innovate Electrical and Solar delivered impressive results that met our needs perfectly. We highly recommend them and would certainly use their services again.
