These vocal lessons were absolutely worth it for me. Kristal is knowledgeable, patient, and awesome to work with. Singing used to feel like it had to do with 'talent', or like it was something you either have or you don't. But Kristal broke it down into clear concepts that I could work on consistently with basic exercises. Like going to the gym. She is so skilled and such a great communicator, that she was able to guide me through the things that I didn't know I didn't know! On top of the technical details, she also had excellent guidance when it came to actually performing, and some of the psychology of singing. As we worked on the technical stuff, she also helped me navigate my confidence in my voice, and helped me to break down these huge walls I had around singing freely. I never thought I'd be able to enjoy singing the way I do now. These lessons changed my life, and I wish I had started them sooner. Just do it!

Kristal is amazing! I've learned so much about the importance of breath support when singing (trust me, you don't know breath control until you've done her exercises!). She's also really patient and encouraging. I highly recommend her!

I’ve had the pleasure of doing vocal training lessons with Kristal at the Indie Artist School for a few months now and thoroughly enjoy my sessions! Each person has their own tailored workbook and exercises that address your vocal needs. Kristal is very attentive and knowledgeable about singing and I’ve already experienced some breakthroughs with my voice in the short time I’ve been a student. A 5/5 experience and I highly recommend the Indie Artist School to anyone serious about transforming their voice :)

I did a 12 week program and had weekly vocal lessons with either Kristal or Lily, and weekly mentoring with Kristal. Both of them are incredibly professional, knowledgeable and amazing teachers. They are compassionate, patient, motivating, and honest when something needs an adjustment. We built an awesome foundation and understanding in those 12 weeks and it was well worth it.. my voice is so much more fluid and supported and most importantly I actually comprehend how it works which is so important if you want to get better. I have been to other vocal teachers, but no one showed it to me the way it was taught here, and it just makes so much more ✨sense✨. They are also very good at explaining any questions you may have as they both has extensive musical/voice training. I would also definitely add they focus on the right details so are not overwhelming at all. Which means they are perfect for literally everyone whether your a complete beginner or super advanced ! I highly recommend Kristal’s school, and am even hoping to come back again soon for another 12 week program, I absolutely loved loved loved my experience. Thank you Kristal and Lily ! 💕

Kristal is insanely talented and an awesome teacher. She's very encouraging and gentle in her corrections while not lowering expectations. I took voice lessons just for fun and in just 2 months ended up pushing beyond what I ever imagined what was expected. She's also prompt and professional with maintaining appointments and providing session notes.

My 11 year old took piano lessons from Kristal. This is a note I'd sent to her at the end of a series of lessons, "...this experience was not really about learning piano. That's important yes. But this has been about Myla learning to not give up so easily and to learn from other people. You always meet her where she's at, btwn the "arghs" and the "meeps" and whatever other weird feelings she has. :) You connected with her in creative ways and literally tried to speak her language. Hahaha And you being a woman of color is very important and impactful to her experience and understanding of herself and the world she's in. She might not know that now but I am sure one day it will make sense and she will value it. Anyway, all this to say...thank you and you are awesome. Keep being authentically you and press on in pursuing your dreams."
