I had an amazing experience working with Sharon Khunkhun and her legal team on obtaining my marriage based green card. I don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am to Sharon and Khunkhun Law for their guidance and expertise through the process of applying for my adjustment of status from F-1 visa to marriage based green card.
There were so many things that could have gone wrong if I had filed on my own and I’m so thankful to Sharon and her team for their knowledge and expertise throughout the process to my specific case:
1. I had a situation where the information on the latest entry on my I-94 was incorrect. To my amazement, Sharon worked some kind of magic and was able to have that corrected immediately!
2. I didn’t know this before, but there are different types of birth certificates from my home country (China) and the document I originally provided would not have been accepted by USCIS. Khunkhun Law has worked with Chinese nationals before and they made sure that I submitted the correct document for my application. I would have not known about this detail.
3. Sharon helped my husband and I prepare for our USCIS green card interview by giving us a mock interview. We received a lot of valuable information - and I learned some things about my husband that I didn’t know before!
4. We received a legal checklist from Khunkhun Law to help us prepare our case with all the documents/evidence we needed to provide. This is helped us understand what we needed and stay organized. I would not have thought to include many items on the checklist if I did this on my own.
5. I realized that I had some answers that I needed to change on my form I-485 literally 3 days before my interview and Sharon did a call with me (while she was on vacation) to coach me on how to navigate my situation during the interview.
Applying for a green card through adjustment of status can be such a stressful and overwhelming process, but I really felt more confident and at ease knowing that my case was being handled by Sharon and her law firm. I highly recommend Khunkhun Law if you need an immigration lawyer in NYC. You will truly be in the best hands!

I honestly don't know where to start thanking Sharon and her team. Going through an immigration process has always felt scary to me, especially because I had some worries about my past situation, including overstaying a visa when I was a kid. She made a potentially stressful process feel manageable and secure. Even before we hired her, she kindly answered my questions and helped ease my worries and that alone made her stand out.
Throughout everything, she was always quick to respond, super patient, and never once made me feel like I was bothering her or asking silly questions. This was never my case.
