Incredible Day Trip to Évora and Monsaraz My wife and I had an incredible private full day trip from Lisbon to Évora and Monsaraz with our tour guide Pedro M from I GO Portugal. Pedro gave us quite a comprehensive overview of Portugese history, art, and culture, and we very much enjoyed our conversations with him throughout the day. Out of all guided tours during our vacation in Portugal, we would rate this one the best (5 stars!). Per Pedro's recommendation, we stopped at an artisan pottery in Sao Pedro de Corval before we went to Monsaraz, a small medieval hilltop village, for some wine tasting at Ervideira Winery and the Monsaraz Castle with its panoramic views of the Alqueva Lake below the village. In Évora, we visited the famous Sao Francisco Church with its Chapel of Bones and its adjoined museum, the Évora Cathedral, and after a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, the Roman Diana Temple of Évora. Thanks again to Pedro M for the memorable day trip! We'll be coming back to Portugal again!

A memorable day trip outside of Lisbon that was one of the highlights of our trip Carlos took us on an excellent and memorable tour through Sintra, Quinta da Regaleira, Cabo da Roca, Cascais, and more. The day started when he picked us up promptly from our hotel in Lisbon in a modern VW van, which he had set up with a car seat for our 2-year old child. The spacious van made for comfortable travel. Throughout the day he was incredibly attentive, lending my wife his jacket when she got cold in Sintra and entertaining our child so we could enjoy the sites. He was especially good with our son, who grew quite fond of Carlos throughout the day. Carlos also proved quite knowledgeable, providing us with plenty of history on the sites (without going overboard or slowing us down). He also made for great conversation at lunch and in the car as the day went on. All in all, it was a memorable experience at an extremely reasonable cost, especially given the VIP treatment provided throughout an entire day. I highly recommend it.

A great day with Carlos! We had a private day trip with our driver and guide Carlos. He made sure that we saw and experienced as much as possible. His knowledge of the country's history and his ability to bring the stories to life was amazing! We timed all of the entrances into the palaces perfectly! We barely had to wait at all. Not once did we feel rushed. He really made us feel special and took good care of us. Thank you

Amazing tour west of Lisbon We took a fantastic tour with Pedro M, a superior guide with expert knowledge of Portugal's history, politics and culture, and a wealth of worldly knowledge to both impress and engage the passengers. We visited the charming town of Cascais, Cabo da Roca (the westernmost point of continental Europe), the mountain village of Sintra, and finally Pena Palace, originally a monastery, and then the refuge of a succession of Portuguese monarchs with a flair for 19th century romanticism. Pedro's narrative transported us to a fairytale world. This tour will be the highlight of your vaycay, pinky-swear.

Pedro M was courteous, extremely knowledgeable, and truly engaging. His ability to explain things clearly and with such passion was impressive, too. A+ … very informative, very personable, very fun! We did a private day tour to Evora and Monsaraz out of Lisbon with Miguel. It was an exceptional day! We could tell after a short period of time that Miguel must have been an inquisitive child … what might be considered by some as a long drive went by very quickly because he was so very friendly and well-rounded, and seemed to enjoy what we shared with him as much as we enjoyed what he was sharing with us. We discussed agricultural similarities and differences between our countries, the Portuguese language, current events in Portugal (and beyond), tech, and even the migration of storks! He was extremely knowledgeable not only on the history of the places we were seeing, but the culture of the various time periods involved. He was adept at “painting the historical picture” without overly complicating the information he was sharing. He was also very considerate. We would not hesitate to recommend the tour to friends and family. Oh…and the sites visited were amazing additions to our tour of the country.

Dia incrível em Sintra. Tivemos um incrível tour privado com Carlos para Sintra de Lisboa. Do início ao fim, a experiência foi perfeita e interessante para toda a família. Great day trip with a great guide We had a great guide Pedro M, gave us a great history of Portugal and while walking in the two towns we visited. He was also great with my parents as they are older and get tired and it was hot. A lovely trip to do from Lisbon.

Wine tasting Carlos Silva was our tour guide. He was very flexible with the tour depending on our interests and needs. Emphasizing that his recommendations were based on his experiences as what he viewed to be the best. We were wisked in and out of restaurants, tours, and kept everything moving along smoothly. Giving us an all day history lesson of the country of Portugal, its politics, economy, history, and answered any questions we had. But most importantly we had fun!!!! He has a great, gregarious personality. You definitely want to book one of his tours. Thank you Carlos…we will definitely look you up next time we travel to Portugal! 🙌👏👍
