I got lip filler and Botox done, and I’m absolutely obsessed with how natural everything looks! The results are subtle but make such a difference. The whole team made me feel so comfortable the entire time seriously the sweetest people ever. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
I went to Icon MD for a hydrafacial with a Groupon purchase on a Monday, Patty did not wrap or cover my hairline or ears and proceeded to get what she said was water with glycolic acid in my ear. She apologized profusely dried the outside of the ear, at the end slathered my face with very chalky sunblock and I went home looking terrible.
Later that day my ear started to hurt and by 4am, I couldn't sleep, I went to the PCP the next day and he said that the ear canal was swollen and gave me drops and an antibiotic. I lost partial hearing in the ear during this time. The pain got progressively worse and I went from doctor to ENT to Mass Eye and Ear that Friday where they had to perform a very painful procedure on my ear to reduce the swelling. I am getting better now, but it has been 2 weeks of pain, missing work and social events, medications, ear drops and what was diagnosed as swimmer's ear - from getting dirty water in your ear.
When I called Icon the next day, they were apologetic and offered free services and Jane said to send over my medical receipts and they would 'take care of them' then when I sent an email I received a response from someone who wouldn't give their name saying that I could not have gotten an ear infection in one day and they would no longer communicate with me.
I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau site and they also operate in Miami and the S. Florida area changing their name multiple times and being accused of malpractice. I very much regret going there and others should know my pain. My ear was also swollen on the outside with significant numbness on the side of my face, before the swelling went down, I could not even close my jaw on the back teeth on the side of the infection.
