The worst clinic

We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed Slovamir. We have been unable to identify a record of you attending our surgery, but we are still sorry that this has been your perception.

At present, we are unable to accept any further NHS patients as we are working at full NHS capacity. We have requested additional NHS capacity from NHS England and, should this be approved, we will be able to offer appointments to more NHS patients in the future.

My daughter has been with them for 13 years and attended all her dental appointments. In August 2025 was seen by a new good dentist who was shocked she still has baby teeth and nothing was done about it.He said will do an urgent referral to Orthodontist. I rang today them,17 Dec 2025 yo find out about the referral and to my surprise it was not done because they don't have her NHS Number. Nobody attempted to ring me or email or write to ask for the Number. I am really upset by this and to listen saying they are an award winning dental clinic in Herts.There is No way they can be if they miss things in this way and don't bother to just try to get the NHS Number from a patient.

On the clinical point, the timing of exfoliation can vary significantly between children and teenagers, and it is not inherently unusual for some primary teeth to remain at this stage. What is important is that this is monitored appropriately over time, including assessment of eruption pattern, space, bite and, where indicated, radiographic findings. This would normally be discussed during appointments, and we are very happy to go through this clearly and calmly once we can identify the relevant records.

With regard to the orthodontic referral, NHS numbers are requested at registration. However, we agree that if a required detail is missing, we should proactively contact the parent or guardian rather than allow any delay. We take this feedback seriously and will be tightening this part of our administrative process, if it is found that this is the case.

At present, we are unable to identify the patient from the information provided in this review. We would therefore ask that you contact the practice directly so that we can confirm the NHS number immediately, and complete and send the referral without further delay.

We take both clinical oversight and administrative reliability seriously and would welcome the opportunity to resolve this promptly.

I came in for crown prep work and was encouraged to book a half price hygienist appointment while they were on offer. I booked and paid the £45 for an appointment 2 days later. Day of the appointment and I still have pain and discomfort following my crown prep work so I phone 5 hours ahead of the appointment and ask if I can move the hygienist appointment for a couple of weeks. Yes, but you will lose your £45. No one told me the appointment couldn't be moved. No one said the £45 was non refundable. I will never book a hygienist appointment at this dentist again. Go to Bupa Waltham cross. Cheaper, no sales tricks and more professional. A shame because the receptionists are always nice. Im hoping that some of the 126,000 views of my other reviews will highlight to this Dentist, that your policy, is a poor choice and needs reconsidering.

When booking the promotional hygienist appointment, a £45 deposit was taken to secure the slot. In both the booking confirmation and the reminder emails, it is clearly stated that deposits are forfeited if an appointment is cancelled or moved with less than 24 hours notice. This is because, at short notice, it is rarely possible to offer the appointment to another patient.

Our £45 hygienist promotion represents a significant reduction from our usual fee and from local market rates. For comparison, the standard hygienist appointment fee advertised on the Bupa Waltham Cross website is starting from £90.

These policies are applied consistently to ensure fairness to all patients and to minimise wasted clinical time which deprives others of much needed care.
