I’ve ordered from this place for years, and the food has always been very good. Unfortunately, the customer service—specifically with delivery—has consistently been disappointing.
The owner is wonderful and understands customer service, but several of the delivery drivers have been rude. On one occasion, my son went downstairs to get our food. We were told one price over the phone, but the delivery driver demanded an additional $10. I gave my son the money, but when he went back down, the driver had already left.
When I called the restaurant, the person I spoke with said the driver “did not want to go back to my residence” and had an issue with the tips I give, as if they were never enough. I always tip, but I don’t expect to have to give an extra $10 just for someone to hand over the food. The person on the phone was rude, dismissive, and even hung up on me mid-conversation.
This is not the first time the delivery staff has been rude or unprofessional. The food is great, but the customer service and delivery experience have declined to the point where I won’t be ordering again. If anything, I’d recommend picking up your order yourself to avoid the issues with delivery.
After a few unfortunate visits to a competitor, we discovered the Famous House of Pizza & Calzone—and oh boy, we’ve been loyal ever since. My family loves eating out and ordering in regularly, and this spot quickly became our go-to. Thin, true-Italian–style pizza, super delicious, and always quick service—what more can you ask for? I haven’t been back since my father started traveling abroad, but writing this has officially made me crave one of their pies. Definitely overdue for a visit!
Came here on August 16th after attending a Mets game in Queens with my family. I ordered 2 deep dish slices which were delicious! Their sauce tastes great & the slices were nice & doughy just like I love it 😋 The parking situation is pretty tough & the block is very narrow, but of course that's NYC right? 🤷🏽♂️ I'd definitely come back here if I'm ever in area again.
