A last minute booking after a day of road travel, breaking our trip from Mount Gambier to Perisher Valley. Found it on Google Maps as a very competitive priced couples room. Rang the establishment direct for the best night rate. Booked over the phone. Extremely accommodating owner not only took the booking but was on site to greet us (9.30pm was a very late arrival) and personally showed us to our room with some light conversation informing us of the recent renovations and opening of such a beautifully historic building. Breaky was not bring served the following morning however it was suggested we visit the local Cafe (opened at 7.30am should we want an early start). We were greated there by the same friendly country service...coming from a country town ourselves, this is always a treat to get that personal experience. Highly recommend a stop in Violet Town, and a stay at Honeysuckle Inn.

Leonnie was a legend. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. Bed was super comfortable. Rooms very clean and comfortable and most importantly cosy. Easy to relax. Check in process was easy. Loved it!

beautifully appointed throughout! Very comfortable rooms. Access to the amazing balcony overlooking the town with a cool drink was a special highlight. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommended it!!

We attended today for a lunch with the local RSL group. It was definately worth travelling down to Violet Town. The service was 100%. The meals were really delicious.The owners have done a great job of restoring this lovely old building. Highly recomended.

As a group of friends we spent a fantastic 2 nights here at Honeysuckle Inn. Leeonie and Neil were just wonderful hosts who went the extra mile to make sure we all enjoyed ourselves. Sitting around the fire and enjoying each others company was just perfect. Ideal location for a group to get away together. The Rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Will be back!

A Jewel in the Crown Amazing find! I have just had two days and nights in Violet Town - lovely town with parks, sporting and community facilities and lots of history and memorabilia. But, the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ was our accommodation at the ‘Honeysuckle Inn’ where we had two luxurious days and nights. Our hosts, Leonie and Neil, went above and beyond sharing the history and their journey with this amazing renovation of ‘Honeysuckle Inn’ together with all the information on the local and surrounding areas. The Inn itself has been restored to an amazing standard , beautiful detail, furnishing and fittings. They have restored and established a five star accomodation in a beautiful little town full of history - most definitely worth a trip to Violet Town to experience a luxury stay. And for myself and my friends it is certainly high on a ‘return soon list’. Thank you Leonie and Neil - see you again soon!

My sister stayed at the honeysuckle on their way to Melbourne. They couldn't speak highly enough of the welcome and home field of the old pub. So we recently stay there as well on a road trip . Violet town has an incredible history and honey suckle is just gorgeous ,renovated to perfection, as were the guys who own and run it . We left after a coffee around the fire in the main longue room with a great song on guitar by the host. Well worth a stop over. Thanks guys

We stayed just one night at the lovely Honeysuckle and absolutely loved it. The place is cozy, spotless, and so welcoming. Leonie and Neil are truly wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to make everything feel like a 5-star experience, from the beautiful rooms and pristine bathroom to the thoughtful dining touches. The bed was pure comfort, making it so easy to relax. Such a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the charm of this cozy little town.
