My AC wasn’t working and David got my vehicle in the next day! Hometown motors is exactly what I was looking for, a local small business. I’m a Davis resident and I can’t think of anything better than giving my business to them. They took great care of my aging car and will continue to help me do all the things I need to keep driving this car for as long as I can. Dave broke things down and explained them in a way that made a lot of sense and honestly better than anyone else I’ve ever spoken to about my car. I won’t go anywhere else now that I found them. Hometown Motors is amazing. We come into town once or twice a year and they are the go to for our 2011 Toyota Sienna. This last appointment they changed our transmission fluid, rebuilt the rear brakes and replaced the batteries on out TPS. All done in a timely fashion, and very reasonably priced. Thank you Hometown Motors for taking care of our vehicle!

I got in touch with Hometown to have my brakes checked out as I was concerned about them. The team was able to get me in the same day for an inspection. The mechanic, Jake was very knowledgeable and able to show me what was going on. I was able to schedule an appointment within the week and the work does well done and in a timely matter. Dave was great covering warranties and to the point. Driving off the lot was a great feeling as my brakes felt amazing. Would recommend the Davis Hometown to friends and family hands down!

Great communication, reports sent with all findings on all mechanical components and systems. They don’t push extra work and give realistic feedback on wear parts.

These guys are top notch! Everyone is kind, professional and helpful. I purchased a new set of tires and replaced a wiper. The price was similar to a Walmart quote but I got better tires and service! I prefer to spend money locally with small businesses. I would def recommend Hometown Motors in Davis! Check them out!

Living near Lake Summerset and the Durand/Davis area in Winnebago county I was looking online at the options for car repair and maintenance. This one had 2 reviews. 1 was good and 1 one star. I called and talked to Candy. She was helpful and we set and appt. She followed up with me each step through the issues diagnosed by the mechanic and offered from my research a very fair estimate. Once I agreed to the estimate they were prompt in getting my trucks issues resolved and followed up for pick up. I was pleasantly surprised that once the estimate was set there was no funny business or surprises that came up once work was started. On picking up Candy went through my invoice with great detail and asked if there was my questions for the mechanic. Nice touch. Also briefly had a friendly exchange with the owner and went out to drive home. Upon inspections all looks and operates well. Definitely recommending to family and friends in LK Summerset.
Update for 2024...Needed Repairs for my Jeep. Talked to Dave and had it back before projected. They are very professional and I find them a trustworthy local business. After comparing to others I found Hometown motors to be be very reasonable when it comes to cost.

I needed a new battery on a Monday morning in order to go to work. I called David up and was able to get right in. In under an hour, I had a new battery and was on my way to work. Great service!

Brought in my 2000 Jeep for service. David and team did a great job. Best part was they finished on a Tuesday but I wasn’t able to pick up the until Friday - no problem! Very close to Lake Summerset
