I was really looking forward to coming here because of the great vegan options. I had the spicy avo toast which was nice, but super super spicy! I could hardly taste anything else. Perhaps I should’ve know better when I ordered but I think it would’ve been much better with less chilly. I liked that it was more exciting that your avarage avo toast (eg with sambal). The coffee was nice but not amazing. Service was nice but unfortunately they forgot to bring out cutlery and water as we were sat outside.

Thanks for your review, Radhika! We're pleased you appreciated our wide range of vegan options, including our Spicy Smash. As the name suggests, it is indeed spicy; we also offer a Balsamic Smash you might wish to try next time, which is very similar but not spicy. We think our organic, fair-trade coffee is amazing, and many of our reviewers do too. Like most cafes these days, we have plenty of cutlery and water available for guests to serve themselves with, including cutlery constantly available outside our cafe on trolleys, and free, high-quality water on tap constantly available too at our water cooler, with plenty of glasses on the shelf next to it.

Absolutely fantastic coffee - best I’ve had out in years - and delicious food. We had the Reuben toastie and the curry bowl. My husband (the purist) felt it wasn’t close enough to a Reuben (eg no corned silverside beef) but it was a delicious toastie with fresh ingredients, wholesome bread, and plenty of gorgeous melty local cheese. The curry bowl was incredible - like a dry Malaysian chicken curry with moreish coconut sambal and fresh pickle salad. Absolute flavour bomb, and well balanced and spicy to boot. Compliments to the chef and the team behind the menu! Finished with a gut health tea, which tasted (in the best way) like fragrant apple pie oatmeal. Service was very friendly, lots of smiles, can tell this is a place frequented by many locals. Would absolutely make this my go to if I lived here. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Fantasic service, great vibes and amazing food. My Wife and I had had an absolute joy of an experience here. We both had the big breakfast and fresh juices. Flavours were fantastic and the portion sizes did not leave any room for wanting. Service was absolutely Impeccable and I can't wait for an excuse to come back.

This humble venue is AH-MAZING!! The staff are so warm and friendly and the food is quite literally to die for!! This team is a well oiled machine with fine attention to detail and service! If you haven't tried the baked beans you simply must, they are sublime! We will definitely be back for more on our way back home!

Hands down the best Eggs Benny I have ever had. The Chilli scrambled eggs was full of flavour and just the right amount of spice. Coffee also gets the thumbs up 👍🏼

We visited Homegrown in Port Fairy today, and it turned out to be one of the most memorablebreakfast of our trip. The staff were absolutely amazing — warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You could tell the chef takes great pride in their work; every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The food tasted incredibly fresh — every ingredient seemed carefully selected and perfectly cooked. You could literally taste the freshness in every bite. My daughter absolutely loved her coconut pancake — fluffy, fragrant, and just the right amount of sweetness. The coffee was hands down the best I’ve ever had — rich, smooth, and beautifully balanced. We ordered both the Vegan Breaky and Veggie Breaky, and they were simply outstanding. Generous portions, great seasoning, and bursting with wholesome flavor. If you’re ever in Port Fairy, you must visit Homegrown. It’s a place that truly celebrates good food, great people, and the joy of eating well. Highly recommended! Thanks guys - great work.
