We have a high energy male mini golden doodle 9 month old puppy. He is not our first dog and have had little challenges with training the others. But our doodle’s personality is quite different. House breaking was a breeze, but working with his independent personality was a challenge. Hunter has totally changed that struggle and helped tremendously, both training our doodle and us. We learned how to channel his high energy positively and our doodle learned commands that he responds to quickly. I can now take him on walks without him pulling and take him on outings and his behavior is socially acceptable.

I had such a great experience with this company! Lisa, one of the trainers, was incredibly responsive, thorough, and communicative throughout the entire two-week training program. You can tell she truly cares about the dogs she works with—my puppy took a real liking to her and clearly respected her guidance. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my dog’s behavior since training, and I felt completely comfortable leaving her in their hands. Hunter went above and beyond to help train my dog and actually myself as well. He is excellent with the animals. I totally support his theories. The most important trait is he listens to the owner. I would recommend him to anyone and give him a positive reference if asked! Too bad he could not train my husband!, too expensive. You will not regret the investment!!

Experienced, kind and effective. But more than that, they care about the dogs they train and about the human parent’s understanding and follow thru. IF necessary, their help goes beyond the day your doggie’s training is complete and will answer questions thoroughly and, should a follow-up seem necessary for dog or owner, they will do so willingly. I can’t imagine a better training program than H.K. DogTraining!

Hunter and team did a fantastic job with our Labrador puppy! We really needed help kennel training, hadn’t been able to leave the house much in the first couple months but after her time with Hunter, now she willingly enters the kennel on command and is calm for multiple hours at a time. She walks respectfully on a leash with our 8 year old lab and her “here” has been flawless. Highly recommend HK Dog Training!

I had recently rescued a Belgian malinois mixed with German shepherd (I believe). She is super sweet, but I did not have time to train her as I did with my previous German shepherd. I found Hunter online and called on the weekend. I felt a bit overwhelmed with the new rescue because she pulled extremely hard on the leash to where my arms were sore from it. She was so energetic that it was hard to teach her much because she wouldn’t focus. I frantically looked for a trainer before I returned to work after a long weekend. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving her alone while I went to work. Thankfully, Hunter’s office answered on a Sunday morning. They said they could take the rescue that day or Monday. I did the 6week program. Hunter sent me videos of her progress periodically. When we got her back, she no longer pulled on the leash, she knew basic commands, and Hunter had acquainted her with his children, his other dogs, and cat (per my request as I have a cat and dog at home). She did well with all of these. He also made sure she was comfortable in public with other people around. I was super relieved to have these results. The biggest concerns I had were addressed by Hunter. He spent an hour and a half with us going through everything when we picked her up. He answered all our questions. The needs and concerns I had with a brand new rescue were handled and dealt with by a professional which gave me extreme relief. Hunter is super kind and professional and very knowledgeable. He cares very much about dogs and animals, and his concerns were always focused on what is best for the dog, which I definitely appreciated as well. Now, I have a dog who knows commands, does not pull me, and who is more confident. The training helped me provide a foundation of which I can continue to build off of now as I teach her new things.
