Sherice, we are so sorry this was your experience. Anyone who calls our office deserves a response, and not getting one falls short of how we run things. We went back through Monday and could not find a record of your call in any of our intake systems. We did change our main number in January of this year, which makes us think the number you reached may not be a current line for our firm. Old or incorrect numbers sometimes stay live in online listings long after they should.

If you would be willing to email us at office@hixsonbrown.com and tell us which number you dialed, we will find out where it leads and get it corrected so the next person gets through. Thank you for flagging this. It may be the only way we would have caught it, and we would still welcome the chance to talk with you.

Being responsive to everyone who contacts our firm matters a great deal to us, so we'd like to share what our records show. Your first call, on July 8, came in noted as being from a current client, which routes it into the system we use for existing clients; when the information didn't match any current client on file, it wasn't carried forward as a new inquiry. Your new-client information first reached our intake team on your second call, July 9. With the number of inquiries we receive each week, and only three business days having passed since then, we simply hadn't reached our review of your inquiry yet. Every new inquiry goes through a careful review, where we compare the details against the applicable statutes and law and run a conflict check before we respond, and that process can take several business days when our caseload is high. We want you to know we've moved your inquiry to the top of our list so we can take a close look right away and get a response back to you as soon as possible.
