5 day Manu National park tour. Personalised. Had the best time in the jungle with Hidden Jungle. We did the 5 day tour and we managed to fit so much in. We saw 7 types of monkeys, sloths, spiders, insects and countless different types of birds. We heard more animals than we could identify and it was truely magnificent. Our guide, Moises, was so good at naming all of the animals and giving us information on them. He knew the jungle so well and we felt safe in his hands. The river boat was an amazing experience. We got to enjoy it in the sun and also the rain! The team couldn’t do enough to keep us comfortable and we really enjoyed the visit to the native community and the tasks that they set up for us to enjoy an authentic experience. The time that went into planning our trip was noticed and every detail appreciated. All of the beds were comfortable and mosquito nets were provided. My fav night was spend on the viewing platform in the middle of jungle. It’s a truly unique experience and I would love to do it again. The journey is long but it was broken up with wild life and food and great conversations. I highly recommend Hidden Jungle and I will definitely be returning when I can. Thank you.

We recently did the three day/two night tour and had a wonderful time. The journey down along the Manu road from the cloud forest to the rainforest alone was an amazing experience. Apart from the fantastic views, whenever we stopped, the wildlife emerged to greet us. Driving through the road tunnels and the ‘car wash’ waterfall only added to the atmosphere. And once we reached the rainforest, the wildlife spotting only got better. While our driver, Pacho, navigated the roads perfectly, and our chef, Rodrigo, served up the most amazing food, Edwin, our guide, ensured we spotted an abundance of wildlife while also educating us on the natural and indigenous history of the area. The three-day/two-night tour was a wonderful introduction to the flora and fauna of the Manu National Park. And now that I’ve got a taste for adventure, I plan to return to venture deeper into Manu on Hidden Jungle’s six-day tour.

We had an amazing trip with Hidden Jungle. It was all very well organised, & everyone was friendly & helpful. So impressed with the delicious (& plentiful) food provided everywhere, catering for dietary requirements. Moises' knowledge of the local wildlife & his ability to spot them meant we saw so much that we'd never have known was there! The night on a platform was a unique experience, sadly we didn't see a tapir but to be sleeping in the middle of the jungle with all the sounds was wonderful - & surprisingly cosy, the mossie nets felt like tents & the mats were very comfy. Thank you to the whole team!

A wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime experience My husband and I spent two days /1 night in the rainforest. We had a customised, private tour, tailored around our interests and time constraints. Anna was incredibly helpful with arranging the tour and communicating the details. On the tour, we travelled through rainforests and cloudforests, while stopping to visit fantastic viewpoints, waterfalls and animal sanctuaries. We particularly enjoyed looking for nocturnal animals on a night walk. We also had fun looking for wildlife, while sitting on a raft, drifting across a lake.We saw a vast array of animals and insects. Our guide, Edwin, was very knowledgeable and had an amazing eye for spotting wildlife. Our chef, Rodrigo, was great. The food was delicious and our dietary needs were catered for.Our driver, Pacho, was very skillful and also had a talent for spotting animals.Overall, we had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend this tour provider.

Unforgettable experience with Hidden Jungle My group of 4 had such a good time on our 6 day tour of Manu National Park with Hidden Jungle! Chef Cesar made the BEST food. Everything was so flavorful, fresh, and abundant! He was able to accommodate my difficult food allergies (gluten and dairy) with no problem whatsoever. I even got quinoa pancakes on the boat one morning, I couldn’t believe it. I asked him for recipes for a couple of his dishes which he happily shared, and I am looking forward to adding them into my rotation at home. Our guide Moises is from the jungle and is very knowledgeable about plants, animals, and culture in the area. He has many talents, among them spotting animals from a distance and recreating the sounds of jungle animals. He regaled us with stories of his childhood in the jungle, and I especially enjoyed his stories about his father’s advice about the jungle and life. He was a pleasure. The tour was flexible and catered to our interests. We saw so many animals! There were many beautiful birds, and Moises always knew the name of each as well as an interesting fact about its behavior. We saw river otters, caimans (a lot of caimans!), capybaras, a sloth, such a variety of monkeys, spiders including tarantulas, frogs, I’m sure I’m forgetting some. Activities included seeing Moises’s cocoa trees and tasting the fruit that will eventually become chocolate, soaking in a hot spring, visiting two oxbow lakes, and walking in the jungle day and night. We stayed at several accommodations that were similar: a small screened cabin with private bathroom and cold shower, with dining in a separate building. At our deepest point in the jungle, we stayed at Casa Matsiguenka, a lodge run by the local indigenous community. I was glad to stay there as it felt like our tourism dollars were going to help local people who are trying to maintain their traditional lifestyle while facing outside pressures. The accommodations were fine but basic. This is not a complaint, you are trading some modern comforts to experience a truly wild place. Some examples. Showers were cold (this may change in the future as Moises was making attempts to bring hot water to his house), the power often went out (though there was a generator for a few hours), some cabins were fully screened but others were partially open to the jungle (a thermacell was helpful here). Bathroom privacy was limited with walls that did not reach the ceiling. One bathroom did not have a door at all. Again these are not complaints, rather an attempt to set expectations. It’s not for everyone, but it was for us, maybe it is also for you. Here is another thing to expect: every day you will wake up before dawn.Overall we had an unforgettable, magical experience! If you want to see a lot of wildlife and truly experience the jungle, I highly recommend Hidden Jungle.

3 amazing days in the jungle: the best value for money experience! 3 day / 2 nights Manu Tour in the Jungle with Hidden Jungle in a private tour: wonderful experience! We booked with months in advance this tour starting in Cuzco. Anna has been very responsive and supportive through the whole process from the organization, down-payment till the very end (very good is the chance to pay with Wise give the very low/zero commissions).Private tour means that there is a chef, a driver and a guide (all locals of the jungle) to yourself, I would definetely recommend for couples, they make you feel super safe and with all the basic comfort. The guide Chito was very well known in the local jungle community (Atalaya and surroundings) and we felt very safe walking around with him (he did many meet and greets of people we met along the way). He spoke little English, but was very friendly spoke slowly so we could grasp his Spanish (we are Italians). The cook Rodrigo was amazing, we were skeptical about food but we ate very well and we didn’t feel sick (we drank the water they gave us). On the first night we stayed at the Bamboo Lodge which is close by to the road but it’s a real paradise: beautiful private lodges inside a well curated garden full of plants and species. We loved sleeping here, hearing all the sounds of nature while having all the comforts of a room. The lodge was clean and had a decent toilet/shower. On the second night we stayed at a place called Soga the Oro, which is literally in the middle of the jungle next to a river, we arrived there via boat. Here we lived the real jungle experience. It’s a bit more humble and unpretentious, especially the bathroom (don’t expect anything fancy, but functional). During all the trip we saw many animals (mostly birds), wildlife and jungle plants and species. The guide was very knowledgeable and was of real added value (very cool the parrot clay lick and the night jungle walk). Bring a binoculars! If you love photography don’t forget your zooms (they are useful for the clay lick). In general, very good and smooth experience, good value for money. The best memories we took home were of the people we met: Gustavo the driver, Chito the guide and the chef Rodrigo. They were fantastic!

I just returned from an incredible 5/6-day tour of Manu National Park with Hidden Jungle, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I chose Hidden Jungle because of their many amazing five-star reviews on Trip Advisor and Google and I’m delighted to add another one of my own! From my very first inquiry to the end of the trip, the Hidden Jungle team made me feel completely taken care of. The tour itself was fantastic - taking us deep into the heart of Manu National Park. Our guide, Moises, was outstanding, supported by a wonderful team including our boat driver, cook, and assistant. Born and raised in the area, Moises has an incredible depth of knowledge about the jungle’s wildlife and plants. Including an impressive ability to pick out the faint movement of a bird’s beak, a monkey’s tail, or even a sloth high up in a tree from far away on the river. Thanks to him and the team, we saw an amazing variety of animals, birds, and insects. The whole team went above and beyond to make sure we got the most out of every moment, even helping us take incredible close-up photos of the wildlife through their telescope using our phones. You won't regret going with Hidden Jungle and supporting this family run business. Definitely do the longer 5/6 day tour if you can!

We had a really Amazing time with Hidden Jungle Cusco. They messaged us before the briefing and all the contact beforehand was very pleasant. We went 6 days into the jungle afterwards and we saw a lot of amazing creatures. From the big giant river otters catching and eating a fish to Capibaras and lots of birds, spiders, frogs and creatures we've never seen before. Our guide Moises comes from the jungle and you can see he has a lot of passion for the jungle and it's nature and has the vision to want to preserve it. Very openminded, tries to help adjust the schedule if necessary to what you really want to try to see and find. He has loads of stories to share. Trying to find a Tapir on a wooded watchtower in the middle of the jungle was also a very cool experience as we're the night walks. Furthermore the lodges were good and the food was great as well. He has a nice team to be proud of. If you are in for an adventure and want some deep raw Amazonian experience, this is the place. Thank you again Moises and your family for your warm welcome and hospitality into this amazing place!

Awsome adventure in the Jungle with a expert guide. We did the 6 day tour in Manu NP and it was amazing. I recommend doing the longer tour, it is worth it. We saw so many cool animals: capibara, river otters, caiman white & black, so many monkeys, birds, spiders and more. Moises is a great guide Who knows everything about the jungle. He tells fun stories but also helps you keep safe. He really changes the tour for you, so that you have the best experience. It was a adventure for sure, but really safe and the lodges where really nice. You get to experience the jungle in a way you never have. The food was really good every time! Caesar is a amazing cook who can make great food in the middle of nowhere. The whole crew is very friendly and helpful. You can feel it is a family company. There mission to help the amazon is also a reason for us to book with them. And I saw back it in the tour.

Fantastic time spent in the Amazon jungle, perfect organization The whole trip was very well organized - from the punctual pickup from in front of our the hotel, through well scheduled changes of means of transportation, timing of the meals, jungle walks and rests, up to the drop off in Cusco on the last day. It was even more impressive considering the surroundings where the trip takes place - the road can get flooded, you travel partially on a boat and water levels can be low. All throughout the trip we were feasting on local specialties prepared by the fenomenal cook who was travelling with us. We tried a lot of new things and learned more about the Peruvian cuisine than during the two weeks preceding our trip to Manu jungle. And all of this while on the go, constantly changing locations and eating in the most amazing spots. Moisés, our guide, was always on the lookout to show us some new species of birds, spiders. He told us a lot of stories about medicinal plants, jungle fauna, habits of the species we were encountering on our way and how the live of the local communities looks like. He was also very flexible with the programme of the trip, adapting it to our interests. It was just 4 days, but packed with so many new experiences: birdwatching, spotting a lot of species of monkeys, walks in the jungle by day and by night, visiting a banana and cocoa plantation, sleeping in the middle of the jungle, swimming in the river and in hot springs, eating native jungle fruits and fishing piranhas. At the same time, we were staying in lodges or Moisés 's house that didn't differ much in terms of comfort from hotels in Cusco. Very suitable even for people that would normally consider it an extreme adventure - it was nothing of the sort and we felt like it would be well suited and interesting for people of all age groups. We would highly recommend booking a longer trip - our 4 days passed so quickly that we really wished we had booked a longer variant. The contact with the company was as professional as the trip itself - we got a full list of things to take with us, all the questions were quickly answered and a couple of days before the trip we had a video call to double check we were ready. A huge thank you to all the crew making this experience possible.

Exciting, exhausting, exhilarating experience We are a kiwi couple in our late 60's/ early 70's looking for an adventure and we were not disappointed! Our 7 day private trip into the Manu Reserve Area with Hidden Jungle gave us a full immersion experience we'll never forget. From jungle walking in the heat and humidity (need to take plenty of water and then extra), to the overnight stay on the camouflage platform (not actually as scary as it sounds), to the complete peace and tranquility of gliding on the oxbow lakes, every day was worth it. Fantastic photo opportunities with sightings of amazing birds (including toucan, parrots and humming birds), caiman, turtles, different species of monkey, otters and piranha. No jaguar, snakes or capybara but it didn't matter. Loved the huge trees and the dense abundant foliage in every green imaginable. Highlights included the magnificent macaws at the Blanquillo Clay Lick; hearing and then seeing the extraordinary howler monkey; and witnessing sunrise and sunset on the river. The absence of many other tourists in the Manu Reserve Area made it well worth the extra time and expense to go further into that area. Great food - thanks Cesar the meals were delicious. Fantastic guiding - thanks Moises for sharing your passion for the jungle with us and for looking after us when we had a couple of mishaps! Highly recommend Hidden Jungle.

An experience of a lifetime - authentic and unbeatable What a trip! 9 days in and at the edge of Manu National Park was a dream come through for a family of biologists. Moises was the most remarkable guide we ever had, he knows every bird, mammal, plant and track, but he also willingly shared all his childhood experiences growing up in the jungle, use of medicinal plants, but he had exactly the right balance of being available for us and leaving us some privacy. And Cesar was an amazing cook, he created in the middle of nowhere absolutely delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners, I am sure we gained lots of kilos ...And our two boat people had always a smile on their face, shipped us through challenging waters and helped wherever they could. 6 out of 5, can't get any better. If you want to experience the true rainforest off the beaten track, book a trip with Hidden Jungle!

Adventure of lifetime for group with teenagers This was an amazing adventure for our group of 7 including 4 teenagers. Saudi, Rodrigo and Freddy were amazing. Sualo quickly realized our group could use some more adventures to keep teenagers busy and went above and beyond to add little extra challenges for them. His stories kept our group enthralled at every meal. Rodrigo the chef should open a restaurant as his cooking was some of best food we had on entire trip. The trip was really well organized and every detail planned. The lodges were simple but good. I would highly recommend this company and especially our guides to anyone

My family and I had an amazing experience on our 6D/5N trip into the reserved zone of Manu National Park. Highly recommend!! Anna was so helpful before and during our trip. She is a great point of contact and was very responsive to all my questions. The trip itself was phenomenal! Jordy was the best guide we could’ve asked for. He had a great eye for finding wildlife and he’s so knowledgeable about the area. We learned a ton and loved his enthusiasm and energy. Rodrigo cooked delicious meals throughout our trip and always kept us well fed. We appreciated the van driver and boat crew for safely getting us to all the locations. Don’t hesitate to book! There’s always something to see in the jungle!
