I can’t say enough good things about Henry. My daughter Megan had a real lack of confidence in maths, but after the first visit to HD tuition this started to change. The way in which he explained things changed Megan’s whole outlook on maths. My son even attended for a couple of weeks for some confidence before his SATs, and again, he was genuinely excited at how easy Henry made it. This was made possible by the very wonderful Chloe, who really will do anything she can to accommodate you, and responds so quickly it’s crazy! Thank you both so so much for all of your help! We will be back!!

Mr Durdan tutored my son for the last few months before he sat his maths A level. My son had a tough first year with his maths and his confidence in this subject was low. We contacted HD Tuition and from his first visit, my son's confidence began to grow.
My son's confidence in the subject was transformed in a few months and he progressed from getting Us, Es and Ds in college assessments to achieving a final grade of B in the actual A level.
We cannot thank HD Tuition enough and would 100% recommend anyone booking their first session!
Chloe is fantastic — always quick to respond and incredibly helpful with any questions we have. The tutors are brilliant. Jayden used to really struggle with Maths, but now he’s flying! He also didn’t enjoy Science before, but since starting science tuition, he’s far more engaged and even enjoys it now.
It’s amazing to see how much he looks forward to his sessions — what could have been a boring weekly task has become something he genuinely enjoys. The supportive and positive environment makes such a difference. The progress he’s made through tuition has also had a great impact on his attitude and performance across other school subjects.

I 100% recommend HD tuition. As student that struggled with confidence in maths, the one on one tutoring with Henry helped me feel confident in my ability and actually enjoy maths. I was predicted a 5 at GSCE but ended up achieving a 7. His patience and understanding that all people learn differently was invaluable!
My daughter has nothing but good things to say about the tuition she wax offered by Henry for her math GCSE. She believes the resaving she passed was down to his support guidance and advice. As a parent I wish I did not wait u till year 11 to get my daughter into this as the confidence that we saw grow in her towards math in the last year was amazing and maybe if we had done it sooner some of her worries would have been less. I cannot recommend HD tuition highly enough. With Henry's help, my son was able to enjoy the learning experience and able to achieve the highest grade in his maths exams. As well as being able to enrol into Maths School in Exeter.

My daughter is just going into Yr11. She is autistic and attends a specialist school. In Yr6, she was not entered for SATs, and we were told right up until the end of primary school, by teachers who had no belief in her, that she probably wouldn't get any qualifications. In Yr8, she started to do functional skills in core subjects, and has achieved at least L1 functional skills in them all.
A year ago, she suddenly accelerated and it was decided she might get GCSEs, so the school pushed things on a bit and by summer term in Yr10 it was decided she would be entered for GCSEs in all core subjects. That is where HD Tuition came in. My daughter hasn't had the same preparation as other children, as the decision to enter her for GCSEs has come late, because her education is very needs-led.
I found HD tuition and booked my daughter in for a trial. They made an assessment of what she needs and a plan based on that. As she is autistic, relationships with teachers are really important to successful learning, and that can sometimes take time. However, she immediately took to Stu, the science tutor, who has been flexible to how she learns. Similarly with Henry: he is so patient and kind, and she has really found herself able to access his teaching. She has 1 to 1 for science and is in a small group for maths, and this is really helpful to her.
She has only done a few weeks with them so far, but it was already making a difference to her attitude in relation to whether she will achieve what she has been told she can achieve. I do think the tutoring will help her to secure the grades, but for her it is more about confidence and exam preparation. Really pleased we found HD tuition when we did.
Fantastic patient, relatable & supportive tutor & ‘best teacher’ in my son’s opinion. Having worried he’d pass maths at all to then smash a better grade was definitely because of tutoring. Then onto A-levels in a maths related subject. Bookings also simple on line or via Chloe, thank you both - great!
I highly recommend HD Tuition. Chloe quickly and efficiently responds to any queries and clearly explains how the tuition fees and additional courses work. Henry is a fantastic tutor. My daughter loved going to all of her sessions. Henry would clearly set out the tasks and then assist her where needed. I can 100% say that Henry was instrumental in her achieving a 4 in her Maths GCSE. The added extra touch of a hot chocolate was also a winner! I'm sad that Henry won't be tutoring her anymore but happy that he helped her achieve the result she needed. Thsnk you Henry and Chloe for being so professional and helpful.
My son had extra tuition at HD Tuition for both English were he was falling behind and Maths where he moved up to higher maths midway through the year and missed part of the syllabus. We were concerned that he would not be keen to go but his tutors made the lesson really enjoyable and he went without fuss even on a Friday afternoon. He passed both and now moving onto college.
