I would like to say a massive thank you to Amy (Walters) for helping and guiding us through this very traumatic experience. The loss of my granddaughter abroad was heartbreaking enough but watching my daughter suffer was truly heartbreaking. She dealt with repatriation and the funeral arrangements which she’d never had to do before, on her own. Without Amy’s unfaltering support thus would have been extremely difficult. Nothing was too much trouble or a problem, whatever we requested Amy would make sure this would happen from chapel visits to white horses to hand prints and clay moulds. Everything was done emphatically to the letter. Her children mission and love of her job made things so much easier . A true professional with a big heart. Couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Paul at HD Tribe was excellent in supporting my mum and I to plan my dad’s funeral. He ensured that everything was taken care of and took a massive weight of our shoulders. He was able to advise on every step and was greatly thoughtful of our feelings and wishes at every step. Everyone at HD Tribe carried themselves with such professionalism. My mum wanted to share that in her years as a police officer, she worked with directors from HD Tribe on various occasions and that they were always extremely respectful even when family weren’t present. We were thankful for Amy’s care of both my grandson, Sebastian aged 2, in July 2025 and my husband, Sam, last month. She was kind, compassionate and helpful with all our family. Nothing was too much trouble and any queries were answered promptly.
Recently, a service was held for a friend of mine who passed away. Unfortunately, due to illness, I was unable to attend. It’s the first time I’d watched a service live over the internet and I have to say, i was so pleasantly surprised.It was beautiful. Even though I wasn’t there in person, I could feel the warmth and respect in a lovely intimate setting. It’s always sad saying goodbye, but having a send off in this beautiful place felt so fitting. There are no words that can describe how wonderful this service was. From the start, Amy was absolutely courteous and professional. She helped to explain everything when my mother in law went in to arrange her funeral, and she left knowing she was in very safe hands. When she unfortunately passed a short time later, Amy was immediately helpful, arranging meetings and setting us up with a wonderful celebrant. She was incredibly patient and kind with us at a very emotional time and we cannot thank her enough for that. I would recommend this service to anyone, and will be to anyone that asks. There are not enough superlatives to describe the incredible service that our family received during what has been the worst time of our lives following the loss of our beloved mother.
Paul, Carol, Zoe, Pandora, David - and the entire team at HD Tribe - guided us throughout with amazing compassion, grace, kindness & empathy. Whilst most people would expect this of a funeral director, given the sensitivity of the occasion, my brother, cousins, myself and extended family & friends had nothing but high praise for the service and performance by everyone.
What resulted was a truly honourable, respectful and caring experience that provided both us - and our darling mother - with a beautiful 'goodbye' and amazing 'tribute' that we know she would appreciate and be proud.
We found comfort knowing that Mama was in safe hands and being cared for like one of the family.
When you find yourself preparing a service at a time when grief is overwhelming, I would encourage you to use HD Tribe. Not only will they care for your loved one with tenderness, but they will guide you - and comfort you - to ease the organisation of arrangements that we all wish is something that we don't have to face, but inevitably must.

This was our second time using H D Tribe and once again Paul and Carol were caring and compassionate in what is a truly difficult time.
After losing our Dad last year we never imagined we’d be needing their support again so soon after the sudden loss of our Mum and for that we are extremely grateful.
Everything at Tribes is done in house from arranging the flowers and having the catering in the lounge area afterwards, it creates a calm, personal and modern approach to funerals that feels genuinely comforting. Nothing was ever too much trouble Paul and Carol were happy to do whatever we wished gently guiding us through the arrangements.
We would also like to thank Mel the Celebrant who conducted the service so beautifully once again and helped us honour Mum in a way that reflected her.
We are extremely grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown by everyone at Tribes during this difficult time.
