Having carefully reviewed our records, we are unable to identify any patient matching the details described. As a regulated dental practice, we take patient care, clinical standards, and professional conduct extremely seriously. Any allegation of inappropriate behaviour within a clinical setting would be formally investigated in line with our internal governance procedures.

We do not tolerate unprofessional conduct of any kind, and all members of our clinical and support team are expected to maintain the highest standards.

With regard to NHS appointments, availability and eligibility are governed by NHS commissioning arrangements and practice policy. Where a patient does not attend a scheduled appointment without appropriate notice, this may affect their ongoing NHS registration status, in line with NHS guidelines. However, we do not refuse urgent care without proper consideration.

Our practice offers both NHS and private treatments. Information regarding additional services is routinely made available to all patients; however, these are entirely optional and have no bearing on access to clinically necessary dental care.

We are committed to providing safe, respectful and patient-centred care. If the reviewer wishes to raise a formal concern, we would encourage them to contact the practice directly so that the matter can be investigated appropriately through the correct complaints procedure.

According to our review, the treatment plan and the possibility of post-operative sensitivity were clearly explained to you prior to proceeding. The decision to place a filling first was made in your best clinical interest, as it was the appropriate initial step before considering any further treatment.

We would also like to clarify that emergency appointments are specifically designed to address the immediate area of concern and do not include a full dental check-up. This is standard practice and was applied in your case.

Our records further show that there were four appointment cancellations, for which no cancellation fees were charged, as a gesture of goodwill.

We would like to clarify one point for others reading this: during your first visit, you were seen by our primary dentist, who then referred you to a second dentist for a follow-up consultation. As a gesture of goodwill, we did not charge you for this second appointment.

Because this follow-up visit was provided free of charge, there was no payment registered in our system for that appointment. This is why our receptionist was unable to locate a corresponding transaction when you arrived. We understand how this could have been confusing and we’re sorry for any stress caused.
