Great wine, but our host was terrible. We stood at a table near the wall of wine, not at the bar. Our host poured a few glasses, left and didn't return for the longest time because he was back behind the bar flirting with a group of girls, just pouring wine after wine for them. At the end, four pours and we left. Couldn't find the host to place an order. He was gone. Worst sales experience.
The place is basically a members-only clubhouse, so if you’re not part of their exclusive circle, you’re just wasting your time. If you do manage to get in, prepare to stand around a tiny table like livestock being shuffled through a feeding trough—because apparently chairs are too much to ask for during a wine tasting.
The tastings rooms have a corporate boardroom aesthetic where someone should be firing middle managers, not pouring Cabernet.
The tasting floor has a nostalgic stale mop smell that pairs well with the customer service. Quite heavy on the gift shop and branded puffer vests but hey they know best about what sells better.
Hard pass.
We had not been here for over 15 years, wow...the changes are amazing to the ambiance, art galore...views ...views and ...views. The wine is still amazing! We loved the entire experience and service Damon provided. The facility is gorgeous....a classic elevated Napa Wine country experience focused.
We are new members at Hall been maybe a year
This winery is special with its gorgeous location. Surrounded by hills
The member lounge is so relaxing and the wines are outstanding
We loved our tasting yesterday with friends and a special thank you to Neshelly for her warm and attentive service
She made the experience absolutely amazing with her attention to detail and thoughtful service
We have been members for years. Sorry to just now be giving you all a 5 star rating. We love the wine, visiting the facility and all the people that have served us. Especially Fonzie and Joego. We really appreciate the member lounge, all the outdoor areas and the art this place has to offer. A top spot in St Helena for sure!
The wines are great, but our recent experience was extremely disappointing. We were wine club members and stopped in to pickup our most recent wine club allotment. We told the front desk we would like to purchase a few other wines and asked if we could taste them. We made it clear that we did not need to do a full tasting. We were told they were too busy, but after some persistence, they sent us upstairs. The guy pouring wine upstairs informed us in a very unwelcoming manner that there was no room for us, despite the fact that we were members and had only requested a few wines to taste for purchase. Needless to say, we cancelled our membership.
This was our first tasting at Hall and our first time in Napa, and this was our favorite spot of the whole trip!! The wine was spectacular, our tour was so informative and our guide Joego was INCREDIBLE! He was so funny and entertaining while teaching our group so much about the Hall family, their art, and wine making process. We will most certainly be coming back!
