We are the guardian home for a precious Moyen Habibi Bear named Willow, and I can’t fully express what she has brought into our lives. When Julie first selected us to be Willow’s guardians, it was deeply personal. We have a son with Down syndrome and autism, and we had known Julie from her time working in an after-school program he attended. Our son has always struggled with language and connection – it takes time and trust to draw him out of his world. But when we used to visit Julie for therapy sessions, something shifted. He came alive around her dogs, showing a level of curiosity and interaction we rarely saw elsewhere. So, when we reached out to Julie to ask if she had any puppies available, she didn’t at the time – but she invited us to visit and see how our son connected with a few puppies she was holding back for her breeding program. What happened next was nothing short of amazing. Out of the three puppies she introduced, Willow and our son Kyle connected instantly. It was clear – this was a match meant to be. Willow has brought so much laughter and light into our home. She’s a funny, affectionate girl with a quirky little run that makes us smile daily – she reminds us of a little bear! But more than that, her intuitive nature with our son is remarkable. Without any formal training, Willow naturally responds to Kyle’s emotional needs. When he’s overstimulated, she gently climbs into his lap, offering calm and comfort. When he’s anxious or overwhelmed in social settings, she instinctively positions herself between him and others – creating a safe, grounding space for him to regulate. Her presence is more than comforting; it’s transformative. Potty training was a breeze thanks to Julie’s thoughtful puppy-raising course, and the bond between Willow and Kyle continues to grow every day. Watching them together is one of the greatest joys of our lives. We feel honoured to be a part of Habibi Bears’ mission, and we can’t wait for the day Willow has puppies of her own – Kyle is going to love every second of it! He already enjoys visiting Julie’s home to play with the puppies, and we’ve even organised puppy playdates with our local Parks and Recreation group and PACE. Habibi Bears and Hannah’s Heart are extraordinary organisations that bring healing, connection, and joy to families like ours. Since Willow joined us, our son is more grounded, more peaceful, and filled with a new kind of joy – and for that, we are endlessly grateful.

Julie at Habibi Bears is such a jewel. Her experience and knowledge is only surpassed by her heart and passion for these incredible dogs she has created for connection. Her help is available even after gotcha day and she provides a whole training and reference notebook you go home with. If you are looking for a gentle soul companion who integrates beautifully, is as cute as a button, affectionate and playful, keeps a puppy look into adulthood and gets better every day, make the best decision ever. You will not regret it! Pass up your other choices and save if you need to until you can welcome your own fluffy and loving best friend into your family. My dog is so gentle and sweet! I love that she plays with toys either alone or with us and she matches our energy. She gets tons of admiration whenever we are in public and doesn't know any strangers. Although we haven't certified her as a therapy dog or anything official, we did take her to a memory care facility and she was amazing with the residents. She also does very well with small children. This is the best dog I've ever had!

We adopted not one but two standard sized Habibi Bears and they have been the best dogs we could ever imagine. Our first Habibi is our girl Honey, and at four months old she woke me up one night, frantic about something. I got up to see what was wrong and she led me to the kitchen and sat in front of the stove. My wife had bumped the gas on with the laundry basket on her way to bed and Honey saved our life. I quickly woke up my daughter and wife and we got out of the house. When the gas company arrived they said, " thirty minutes more and our family would be dead. That dog saved your family!" We adopted Ginger later that year, she was older and she settled in quickly with Honey. They are best friends. Ginger has also been very intuitive and she knows when someone has low or high blood sugar and will bark and paw until the person acknowledges her. She saved our daughter in law when she was visiting, and Ginger was upset and pawing at the bedroom door. My wife said, we better listen she is always right. We went in the room and Ginger went straight to our daughter in law and nudged her and jumped on the bed. She had dropped dangerously low and was drifting into a diabetic coma. Ginger knew and would not stop alerting until we went to check on her! These dogs are miracles! Ginger and Honey were not trained to do this, they are natural alert dogs and we are in awe of their gift. We love these dogs so much, we call them our kids. I have never owned a dog before these two, and all I know is Julie's dogs are very special. All of them. They are life saving dogs. And they are so smart. These dogs also sit and watch tv. They are humanlike it is unreal! I cannot recommend these Amazing dogs enough. They have changed my life. My wife and I love our fur kids. Thanks Habibi Bears.

I was introduced to Habibi Bears by a friend who had just gotten an adorable puppy! First I started following the Habibi Bears’ instagram page, for my daily dose of cuteness, then explored their very informative website, and before I knew it, I was messaging and talking to the breeder about our family, what type of puppy would be right for us, and getting on the waitlist…. And when he finally arrived, our puppy was this perfect little guy. Intelligent, kind, playful, comfortable, calm, loving… Having a puppy join the family is a big change. Habibi team is prepared to make the transition so smooth. We took their online courses, which made the preparation so much easier. Our puppy came home with a binder, filled with useful information. Even with all the support material they shared with us, if we had questions, the breeder was there to answer them all, educating us with patience. We just welcomed the most adorable Habibi Bear puppy into our home. He had a great start in training and transitioned very smoothly into our family. I have never gotten a puppy that comes with a training manual and all the support you could ask for from the breeder, Julie! And the most incredible thing is all the guidance and invaluable information really works. Our puppy is so loving and responsive, we couldn’t be happier with our newest member of the family. One of the best parts of bringing home a Habibi Bear puppy is their health is of utmost importance to Julie, and she provides all the necessary information to keep them in top health. Bringing Peach into our home was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made, and I genuinely have Julie Marie at Habibi Bears to thank for that. I came across Habibi Bears through a Google search when I was starting to think seriously about getting a dog again. Growing up, we had a large, reactive dog who we loved, but caring for him took a lot of time, energy, and patience - multiple hours of walking every day, and constant vigilance. Now that I’m an adult, working from home, and with all my siblings being adults now, I knew it was the right time to find a new companion for the family — one that would be a little easier on my parents (since they’re older now), bring life back into our home, and get us all outside and smiling again. I initially looked into other breeds and breeders closer to home, but when I stumbled across Julie’s website and Instagram, I was immediately struck by how thoughtful, professional, and detailed everything was. It didn’t feel salesy — it felt intentional. There was clearly a lot of love behind it. I ended up setting up a call with Julie, and honestly, I knew within that hour-long conversation that I was making the right choice. She was so knowledgeable, patient, and thorough — answering every single one of my (many) questions without hesitation. And the best part? Everything she shared matched the research I had done around responsible breeding, early socialization, and puppy development. It just felt right. Once I placed a deposit, Julie gave me access to her full training course and puppy prep resources. I watched every video, took notes, read the materials cover to cover. And I can honestly say, it made a massive difference. By the time Peach came home, she was already potty pad trained, sleeping through the night, and so well-socialized (due to the prep and foundation Julie built). I used her course materials to continue with that level of training. Soon, Peach was fully crate trained, not destroying anything in our home, potty trained, and learning new tricks daily. That kind of transition isn’t common unless a breeder really puts in the work - and Julie clearly does. The day we brought Peach home was smooth and exciting. I also loved that Julie really takes time to match the right puppy with the right home. I told her I wanted a confident, friendly, and active dog, and that’s exactly what I got. Peach is sweet, social, obedient, and shockingly quiet for a small dog. She doesn’t bark (seriously!! No barking at the door or yappy-ness), she loves everyone she meets, she’s eager to learn, and she fits into our family like she’s always been here. And it didn’t stop after pickup day. Julie followed up with us, answered questions, and made it really clear that her support didn’t end just because we had our puppy at home. That kind of aftercare is rare, and it made the experience feel so personal and meaningful. You can tell she truly loves each and every puppy she raises, and that she wants them to thrive in their new homes. I’ve already recommended Habibi Bears to friends and family, and I’ll continue to do so. Every time someone asks about Peach - where we got her, how she’s so well-behaved - I go out of my way to share just how incredible this experience has been. Julie isn’t just a breeder. She’s someone who cares. She’s thoughtful, professional, responsive, and kind. And she raises the kind of dogs that change homes and hearts for the better. We feel so lucky to have found Peach, and even luckier that she came from a family with so much love to give.

Our Habibi Bear Teddy joined our family last November. Me and the kids are first timers with having a dog and Julie has been such an incredible support in setting us up to give Teddy the best life. Julie is the absolute best! She worked with me for a year and a half in preparation to get my habibi bear. I was moving from Seoul to Shanghai and had to delay a year, but once I was ready we picked up right where we left off. There was quite a bit of paperwork to prepare to get my puppy into China, and she was more than happy to help me coordinate it all. She kept my puppy for me a few extra months while we waited for everything to come through and would send me video and picture updates. My puppy herself is absolutely perfect. I picked her up at the airport and flew 14 hours with her from Seattle to Shanghai and she never made a sound while under the seat in front of me (or sneakily in my lap haha). She has settled in incredibly well and never barks, is so smart, and is the sweetest girl. She's the only type of dog I could ever have - doesn't shed, hypoallergenic, calm, friendly, confident. I adore her and so does everyone who meets her.
