Sensational, the staff were so nice, the track was excellent, the stewarding was really good and not many yellow flags. Staff allow you to be flexible and join any session you want so you can choose one with less traffic. This karting experience is also great for beginners and those who have never done karting before, the staff really put you at ease and make it an enjoyable experience. I would 100000% recommend to anyone thinking of going, you will not regret it!

We had the best day at GYG Karting! I organised it for my friend’s stag do and everything was spot on. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, the food and drinks were great value, and most importantly, it was the best karting experience we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Absolutely cracking place, even decent in the rain! Waterproofs provided by the venue. Best enjoyed with a group although you get stuck in with other groups aswell so you’re not lapping on your own. Nice little cafe on site with good parking and toilets

Came here for an owner drivers race weekend. A drivers circuit, good surface, beautiful scenery and lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended

Why does Glan y Gors Karting (GYG) deserve 5 stars. Well lots of reasons. I agree wholeheartedly with Red Bull that it is one of the best kart tracks in the UK. It is long, fast flowing and quite ‘technical’ in places so challenging for all and a fantastic experience for both novice and seasoned karters alike. But you should know that as an outdoor track any session could be damp, wet or dry – each with their own challenges. This means every session will be different. The track is in Wales so. anything can happen with the weather – it even snows sometimes. For obvious reasons that might mean a session has to be cancelled but that is pretty rare – usually whatever the weather you can go racing . It doesn’t matter if the rain is heavy, or you have to wipe the hail off your visor, or because of a mist you can’t see other parts of the circuit. The sun can be bright too – quite fantastic.
Apart from the track you should know that it is a family run business that really cares about its customers. The reception, catering and track staff are all first class. So apart from the care and attention you get what you should know is that GYG really does care. Most importantly you should know that you are not treated as a ‘cash cow’ as happens at some other tracks I could name. I don’t use their kit, as I have my own, but they do provide everything you need which is in good order – from well-maintained karts to race wear. Both these things can be found wanting in other places.
Been on a test day with my son, he thoroughly enjoyed the day and has already marked the next date in the calendar

We’ve been here before and normally I would recommend GYG Karting, which makes this experience even more disappointing — and frankly an absolute joke.
We travelled 2 hours for a 13:00 booking, but you’re required to arrive at 12:30 for the briefing, so in reality we had just 20 minutes’ notice of the cancellation. We received a call at 12:10 to say it was cancelled due to snow overnight. If they needed to cancel, that’s understandable — but the timing is completely unacceptable.
When we spoke to Sarah (who I believe is the owner or manager), she claimed she had “called us” and then tried to put the blame on me for not answering. I explained that I was driving and had no signal, and her response was that one of the passengers could have answered instead. That was incredibly rude and dismissive. Even if I had answered, it would not have changed anything — calling at 12:10 still only gives a 20-minute cancellation window when people have already travelled hours.
There was no apology that felt genuine, no attempt to take responsibility, and no goodwill gesture whatsoever — not even a hot coffee after wasting our entire day, fuel, and time. The way this was handled shows a serious lack of customer care and basic professionalism.
When everything runs smoothly, this place can be good — but this last-minute cancellation and the attitude we received completely let them down. This was handled terribly and needs serious improvement.

Due to significant overnight snowfall and an amber weather warning, our team were on site from early morning working hard to clear the circuit, with progress reviewed every half hour. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, conditions could not be made safe in time and the decision to cancel was made as late as possible.
All bookings that day were contacted and offered a full refund or the option to reschedule, and your booking was fully refunded. While we understand the frustration caused by a late cancellation, severe weather is outside of our control and safety must always come first.
We also want to be clear that our staff were doing their best in an exceptionally difficult situation, and we expect them to be treated with respect at all times.
We regret that this rare set of circumstances did not reflect the experience we aim to provide and hope to welcome you back under better conditions
