Spectacular Tour, Brilliant Guide An absolutely brilliant trip that just seemed to get better and better with every stop. Starting with the beautiful lake at Sylfra where the North American and Euro-Asian tectonic plates are gradually moving apart, followed by the spectacular Geysir with jets of boiling water spouting high into the air every 4 to 6 minutes, then on to the truly magnificent Gullfoss waterfall where the glacial meltwater of the White River plunges over 3 sheer drops throwing up a fine mist of spray that creates the most magical rainbow effect (on a sunny day) and finally finishing the tour with an hour at the gorgeous Secret Lagoon where we were able to luxuriate in the fabulous geothermally heated waters. Our guide Starri was brilliant, both funny and informative, his stories about the various ancient Icelandic laws (some of which have only recently been repealed) were fascinating. I couldn't fault this excursion in any way - full marks.

Golden Circle Highlights Our tour operator, Rakel, was terrific. She is a seasoned professional and I very much enjoyed her informative narration and stories throughout the driving. This tour is a “taster” of 4 highlights of the Golden Circle; as our guide told us, one could easily spend a half day/day at any one of the sites, so it was hard to leave each location. Having said that, this tour was a perfect fit for our brief cruise schedule to be able to see and learn about the wonder and culture of Iceland in a condensed time. Thank you, Rakel!

Golden Circle Highlights Our tour operator, Rakel, was terrific. She is a seasoned professional and I very much enjoyed her informative narration and stories throughout the driving. This tour is a “taster” of 4 highlights of the Golden Circle; as our guide told us, one could easily spend a half day/day at any one of the sites, so it was hard to leave each location. Great tour This was a great day. A little confusion finding shuttle but after that it was great. Rakel was an awesome tour guide with so much local knowledge!!! She set the rules for the group at the beginning and it made for a great trip!!!! Again thanks to Rakel!!! Perfect size group also!!

The best one day tour around Reykjavik First of all, without the kind help of Heida from customer service, we would not have been able to participate in this excellent tour. Our guide, Starri, provided us with useful and interesting information the whole way, all in such a fun way that it was one of the most pleasant tours of our lives. I can recommend it to everyone! A comfortable tour of fascinating terrain Our guide explained the geology we were seeing and touching in a relatable way and even told us warm tales of trolls to fill the time on the longer parts of our comfortable drive.

Fresh and beautiful. Fresh and beautiful. The Gullfoss waterfall was awesome. A rainbow appeared while we were there. Everything is a walk so be prepared. I didn’t get to see the Strokkur geyer go off but others in the group did and it looked fantastic. The best part of the day and it was at the end which made it even better was the hot springs. Spent 45 minutes there and was a very relaxing time. Rakel was a very informative, funny guide.

Best trip of our two weeks in Iceland and Greenland. With just one full day in Reykjavik we wanted to see the key sights in the Golden Circle and this tour ticked all the boxes. Our outstanding guide(and driver) Rakel ensured that we knew something of the history, geology, elves and trolls along the way. The tectonic plates were awesome, the geysers performed, the waterfall at Gulfoss roared and finally we relaxed with a hot swim in the delightful Secret Lagoon. Just 7 in group, very comfortable coach.

Rakel , best of best tour guides. My husband and I did the Golden Circle tour with Rakel. It was amazing , Rakel was amazing ! She was extremely informative and knowledgeable of the sites we saw as well as the history of the areas , culture, folklore,geographic information and Icelandic history. We learned a lot. She made the tour fun and interesting . She added a quick stop to a small town along the way to see hot spring bread making and to our luck we got to see the baker removing it from the spring!! Rakel is a lovely lady ! Truly , the best tour we will ever have. Best of the best.
