They did such a beautiful job with our first dance, father-daughter dance, and kept the dance floor moving and grooving all night. They were extremely communicative, professional, and made our whole day go smoothly. They were also very accommodating about noise levels and song requests. Groove authority is the BEST! They did my sister in laws wedding a few years ago, so we had to book them after hearing them live. We were not disappointed when they did our wedding! Many of our guests said our band made the wedding. All of our guests were on the on the dance floor all night. They even learned 3 special requests songs for us. Would highly recommend!
I cannot say enough amazing things about Groove Authority! Planning a wedding in a pandemic was stressful but Paul & Team were fantastic each and every step of the way. Paul was extremely organized, communicative, and thoughtful. Their emcee was nothing short of fantastic. The introductions through the encore was perfect every step of they way. Afterwards, we heard from our guests comments along the lines of "I've never seen a dance floor like that and I've been to a lot of weddings". The interaction of the singers with the guests on the dance floor helped keep the energy high all night long. They played many of the songs we requested to hear from their song list during both the dinner set and the dancing set which made us happy. A couple songs from our requested do not play list snuck in as well, but it hardly mattered to us as we were having so much fun. In addition to the reception, the band also took care of all of our needs during the ceremony and cocktail hour. We were also impressed with the band's professionalism in the face of unforeseen circumstances. Our point of contact was Serge who was extremely responsive, accommodating and capable. Groove Authority has performed at Jimmy's Jazz & Blues Club many times for weddings. As a former Dj from the 80s and 90s and also security at these weddings..my accolades are extremely accurate on assessing great talent.
