Also gratifying to hear that you continue to receive compliments on your dress!

To clarify for future readers: you reached out in May, but did not make your final decision to proceed until July 15. We delivered sketches and swatches promptly and, based on your specific color request, immediately engaged our partner mill in Lake Como to produce a custom-woven fabric in that particular red you had wanted. From the outset, we knew this hue could not be replicated by standard fabrics, which is why a specialty weave was required.

As is customary for bespoke production, the mill required full payment before beginning the weave. That payment was received on July 22, following a delay over our standard $145 international shipping fee, which you requested be reduced to $45. We accommodated this adjustment as a gesture of goodwill—on an order totaling over $3,500.

Shortly after, the mill experienced a loom malfunction and informed us immediately. Despite this, they maintained a projected delivery window of September 15—three weeks before your October 11 event. In an effort to support us and satisfy your timeline, our partner mill generously offered to produce the rush order in just one week—and waived their usual upcharge entirely.
To be absolutely clear: your payment was received before the mill reported any issue, and the accusation that we accepted funds while concealing a known problem is entirely false.
This timeline, including the mill’s projected delivery window, is clearly reflected in the very text messages you included in your review.

As concerns mounted, you reached out daily by text and phone, urging us to find backup options. Although we had already confirmed that your chosen red could not be matched by standard fabrics, we again revisited New York’s design district, re-sourced and shipped alternatives—at our own expense—in an effort to accommodate your continued requests.

When it became clear that trust in the process could not be restored, we refunded you in full on August 5, allowing over two months to explore other arrangements.
