Stop your search and just go to Gothic! I did a lot of shopping before finding Gothic. I wanted to work with people who are artisans and know their profession. Aris was a tremendous help! I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but he gave me great advice, which greatly improved the final design. When he came to my apartment to measure he recommended some further changes which were perfect. The installers were very professional, courteous and went out of their way to move some furniture and hook up my TV. They left the apartment cleaner than when they arrived! I am extremely happy with the final product and the entire process. I can't recommend Gothic enough.

Aris and Gothic Cabinet know what they are doing! Aris and I worked closely together to come up with pieces that would be both functional and nice looking. Getting the furniture took a little longer than I had anticipated, but when it got delivered and assembled by a great team, I realized it was worth the wait. Storage is no longer an issue in my one-bedroom apartment. I highly recommend them.

I sought Gothic out, based on their great reputation and they definitely did not disappoint! Aris helped me turn my idea for a large, custom wall unit into a beautiful reality. His knowledge, attention to detail and service orientation are unparalleled. He is also a delightful person to do business with, communicating with me throughout every step of the process. In addition, the craftsmanship of the finished piece was excellent. I was happy to know the wall unit was being manufactured by carpenters in Gothic's local workroom who took pride in their work--versus strangers not invested in the outcome of the project. In this day and age of impersonal customer service and lack of craftsmanship, Gothic is a breath of fresh air. Go for it!

We are pleased to recommend Gothic Cabinet Craft for custom-fitted bookshelves. Aris was extremely helpful with the measurements, the design, and keeping us up-to-date about our work order. The installers were so professional and easy to work with. (Everyone at the NYC store was.) We were especially pleased with the care and attention to detail. For example, the areas where wall plugs were behind the shelves were not lost but flawlessly incorporated into the design. Our thirty-five cartons of books love their new home. They even asked me to thank GCC and Aris for an excellent job.

Gothic Cabinet did an AMAZING job on our replacement Air Conditioner covers and built in cabinets. The construction, engineering and craftsmanship of the cabinets is excellent. We worked with Tony Stakis - who has the patience of a saint. These are most professional, thorough and all around decent folks in the business. Estimates were accurate, (byzantine levels of) documentation required by my building were well-navigated, everyone showed up on time, and they did everything they said they would do. NYC is a tough place to get anything done. Gothic Cabinet and Tony S. have our trust.

After a nightmarish experience trying to order a bed online and making arrangements to dispose of the old bed and assemble the new one, I had to start over when the online company couldn't deliver all the bed parts. Go to Gothic, a neighbor told me. And so I did, found a perfect bed - a floor sample on sale with a matching nightstand. It was delivered the next day. The guys dismantled the old bed and took it to the basement, put the new one together and Voila! So easy! Thank you Tony for saving me a lot of grief and giving me gorgeous furniture.

I am wildly impressed with Gothic Cabinet and have been for years. Highly recommend and let me explain why. First and foremost, Aris V. is one of their best assets. His knowledge, experience, and professionalism is beyond. In a world where the art of customer service is lost - Aris raises the bar. Second, the optionality is spectacular and for custom furniture in NYC this is beyond important. Every nook and cranny must be utilized in your apartment or home and Aris and Gothic know exactly how to do that. To be clear, we have personally done our bedroom set, bookshelves, and cabinetry. Professionally, Aris has supported a brand new lobby desk (13’ desk), custom storage bench, table tops, and more. The vast scope of work we have accomplished together is impressive. Responsive and encouraging from the start, Tony sent me pics of different styles for the cabinet I had in mind, drew up designs, quoted them, and adjusted them from my feedback. He came out to measure, we agreed on the project, and then he communicated with me periodically to update me on the progress. He came out again to take detailed measurements (measure twice, cut once) Completion took six months, but the final product is beautiful and beautifully made. The installation was as painstaking as the build. The precision applied to making this truly built-in is especially commendable given the not-level walls in this NYC apartment. The price reflects that this is a custom design, build, and installed cabinet. I was happy to pay for this quality of workmanship, attention to detail, and customer service.
