Loved the creative brews, extra stress on creative! They were very unique. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Staff was knowledgeable about how each beer was made (very annoying when thats not the case). I will go back even though im only in town for a short while.

I went with 2 people and have been here before and we all are over 24 and have real ids but refused to serve us and was talking to the only other guy in the bar ignoring us.
I am sorry that you and your friends had a negative experience, this is not the standard of service we try to provide.
That nights bartender is not our regular server and we do get minors occasionally trying to get beer. In this industry we have to give our serves the authority to deny service if they feel some one under 21 is trying to get alcohol, otherwise we risk losing our license and ability to do business.
However, in this case we have made a mistake, I will discuss service expectations with my bartender to make sure she is more attentive in the future and will make sure to have her review how to properly distinguish legitimate ID's from fakes.
Again, I apologize for the poor experience you had. I hope you will give us an opportunity to do better in the future. Thanks

I’ve been to so many breweries and tried so many beers… 1st barrels is one of the best breweries I’ve ever been to. We love the atmosphere and all the unique beers. You must stop by here when you’re in st. Joe

Underrated and amazing. I've traveled the country to over 300 breweries and 1st Barrel is pretty cool. Heart of downtown St. Jo, my favorite thing is how many tables there are. Great for dates, meetings, and for me getting work done. Also a few lounge couches. Great beer too. Will definitely be back.
If you're looking for craft beer, this place has unique beers not tasted anywhere else. Crafted with care and attention to detail, each beer is like an adventure into tasteland.
