I left the review below to which you can see Goodfella's response to me. I have had multiple companies look at my furnace since Goodfella's service in the spring. Every single company has told me that there is nothing in the photos Goodfella's linked to that warrants a new furnace and that the rust there is normal. While there is dust on the side of the motor, this is also normal and should've been cleaned by Goodfellas at their tune up but they didn't do anything, and that none of these issues affect the efficiency.
It's so blatantly obvious that Goodfellas is trying to intimidate customers into new equipment because we the average person lacks basic knowledge about furnaces, as is evidenced by their public comments in response to my post that I've had multiple other HVAC companies rebuke. Don't trust this company.

This company has completely gone downhill since it's sale last year. We had our entire HVAC system surfaced earlier this year prior to turning on AC and were told that our furnace would likely fail on us not longer after we turned it on in the fall, needed significant maintenance to maintain the blower motor, and that they could either take the whole thing apart to clean it which would make it last for a TBD amount of time or replace the entire system for 14k. They also recommended we replace the AC unit too, and gave us an estimate of 23k+ at a minimum. Somebody else said this in their review and we were told ALMOST VERBATIM THE EXACT SAME THING about our 10 year old furnace - "leaking and rusting inside and needed to be replaced...not uncommon for Developers to install inferior equipment in new builds, to save money...gave us a quote for a heat pump but also told us we would need a new furnace as a back-up."
I just had another company look at our entire system and they told us they couldn't find a single thing wrong, let alone a reason to replace the entire system. I don't appreciate being lied to by Goodfellas, and we never experienced this with the company until it was sold. Stay away! There are so many more honest HVAC companies in the area that will treat you like a real human being.

During our visit, our technician found that your furnace was very dirty — as can be seen in the images linked below. This level of buildup can cause major strain on all parts of the furnace, affecting efficiency, operation, and leading to unnecessary wear and tear on key components. The pictures show the condition of the blower motor and blower wheel, as well as the secondary heat exchanger, which was also extremely dirty. The most significant finding, however, was the substantial amount of rust inside the coil and furnace.
We take rust very seriously because it indicates metal deterioration, which can develop into a safety concern over time. The reason we recommended pairing a new furnace with a new heat pump is to ensure a properly matched system with an official AHRI certificate. This certificate confirms AHRI-certified ratings for SEER2, EER2, HSPF2, and heating capacity at 5°F — all required to meet Xcel Energy’s cold climate rebate standards.
We do not try to lie to customers or pressure anyone into replacement. Our only intent is to give a complete, fact-based assessment so homeowners can make informed choices. Unfortunately, in this industry there are times when we have to deliver difficult news, and we understand that can be upsetting.

They were fast and reliable with the service inspection and were knowledgeable about the equipment they were inspecting. We purchased the annual maintenance service for 3 years and everything was fine until the last inspection then they found several issues that should have been addressed during the prior inspections.

POOR customer service!!I purchased an air-conditioning unit from them this last summer. It needed some follow up. I've texted them a few times only to be told they would get back with me, but then they never do. I guess once they make the sale, they forget about you. Fool me once..

Yes you did let me know, at the time, about the part. However, when I would l call in after some time, I was told you would get back with me. You didn't. Even if you found out that the part, or whatever was still not available, you still did not give me that update. Spin it however you want. Your follow up is sorely lacking.

After the installation was complete, we let you know that one of the non-operational parts was not yet in stock, but that your system would continue to function properly while we waited for it. When you called in to schedule the follow-up, the part was still unavailable from the manufacturer, which caused the delay. If you have a Rheem furnace (like me) and the other guys don't seem to know how to fix it -- call Goodfellas! They knew how to test everything and how to treat a customer right!

I called Goodfellas to take a look at my hybrid heat pump water heater, which seemed to be having issues with the heat pump. The plumber came out, and he was super direct and clear about the process for troubleshooting. After working with the manufacturer to confirm the issue, the plumber was able to confirm a warranty replacement, and get me pricing from the office.
The following week, another plumber was scheduled to actually do the work. He was able to remove the water heater, complete the warranty exchange, and install the new one with no issue.
When he showed me the invoice, the price was quite different from what I was initially quoted. The plumber took it upon himself to call the office and get approval to honor the original price.
Overall, the service was friendly and transparent from both plumbers as well as the office. I will definitely be calling Goodfellas for my next plumbing issue.

Unlike other HVAC companies I've dealt with in the past, Goodfellas didn't try to upsell me from a special they were running. William (the tech that they sent) was prompt, clean, and service driven. I will be referring Goodfellas to all my neighbors and friends!

I have been a client of Sunshine Plumbing for years before they joined Goodfellas. I was offered a furnace tuneup for $49.00 and made an appointment. After the service was performed, I was presented with a bill for $129.00. If I had not saved the text message offering me the tuneup for $49, I would have been overcharged $80!! There is no complaint about the service; only the billing.

Informed me of a slight schedule change. Maintenance worker was nice and kept me in the loop as the work progressed. Repair was done in a timely manner and works great now.

We had a maintenance contract with Goodfellas. At the annual furnace inspection, we were told by the technician that our 7-year-old furnace was leaking and rusting inside and needed to be replaced. We were told it was not uncommon for Developers to install inferior equipment in new builds, to save money. He then tried to sell us a new furnace. We told him if we had to make a change, we would prefer a heat pump. He gave us a quote for a heat pump but also told us we would need a new furnace as a back-up. We felt that he was putting a lot of pressure on us to buy a new furnace, so we decided to get a second opinion from an independent Heating Technician. The second technician told us after inspecting the furnace that it was in good condition and probably had at least another 8 years.
Goodfellas tried to perpetuate a scam on us. They tried to sell us a new furnace which we didn’t need.
I canceled my maintenance contract and will never use this company again. Beware!!

Tried to scam us into replacing a 7 yr old furnace. Got a 2nd opinion which confirmed furnace was fine. Cancelled our annual contract. Beware the upselling!
Basically, their flawed business model gets people to sign up for an annual contract which is a money loser. They have to upsell to make a profit and stay in business.

The experience with Good Fellas was great. The plumber William showed up promptly and did an amazing job fixing an issue I was having with my anti scald valve. He fixed the problem and explained the fix to me. I would highly recommend Good Fellas and William.

We were having a cold front and I just had my son and our heater decided to stop working. I called four places to see if we could get an emergency technician out to help. Nobody was available and I was trying to use space heaters to combat the cold. I called Goodfellas and let them know the situation they were so accommodating. They had a technician drop everything to come out to take care of us. We had our heat back on within three hours, which was such a blessing. I am very thankful for the team going above and beyond for us.

Had a weekend emergency and Goodfellas scheduled Josh to come out early Monday morning. Josh came up and diagnosed the issue quickly, and liaised with a third party regarding the issue for a quick resolution.
