Julio is absolutely outstanding, both in his teaching process and in his ability to facilitate change in my game.
I worked with Julio as part of the McLean Golf School 3-day program (which I also highly recommend - far exceeded my expectations).
I'm a relative novice, but was in a group of players with varied experience - some had been playing for well over a decade, others were fairly new to the game. Julio had a knack for working with both types of players with equal effectively, calmly and patiently explaining not only how to do everything you need on the golf course, but WHY things are done in this way. His instructions are crystal clear and concise. He keeps working with you until you understand, never impatient, always willing and upbeat, and without over-explaining or tiring you out. He makes the game thrilling and fun while teaching you how to take your game to the next level.
What impressed me the most about Julio - he's so calm, and so patient. This is a golf pro who was best in class for years, and yet he still treats every student with the same respect and kindness. That meant a lot to me.
I HIGHLY recommend Julio. He and the McLean Golf School taught me more in 3 days than I've learned in the last 3 months before them. He was worth every minute I spent learning from him.

Julio is a great teacher (using teacher on purpose here). He very quickly identifies the areas of improvement. He has a very clear way to communicate his observations, using analogies that really resonate. He nails it time and time again. He has also demonstrate a lot of patience and creativity so to get his message across. The drills and advices he has given me have helped me improving my game.
I was over-cutting the ball, and With a simple exercise/drill Julio fixed it.
He is very precise when it comes down to drills… Great teacher and his attitude even better!
100% recommended !!! His explanations about the golf swing are amazing.

I’ve worked with several golf instructors, and Julio is by far the best. He explains things in a simple, clear way that makes sense, and he doesn’t try to force everyone into the same “cookie-cutter” swing. Instead, he takes the time to adjust his teaching to fit your individual swing and background.
As a former baseball player, I really value how he helped me transition my swing from the field to the golf course. If you’re a former baseball or softball player looking to make that adjustment, I can’t recommend Julio enough.
Julio Nutt’s experience is unparalleled. From the grip, to swing mechanics, is by far the best and most effective path to better your golf skills.
No need to try lesser options that at the end are far less productive.
I've been playing golf for over 4 years and I just had my first golf lesson with Julio. To say it was amazing is an understatement. He quickly spotted issues with my grip and swing and explained simple adjustments that made an immediate difference. He also gave me great tips with the driver that addressed my slicing problem. I’ve taken golf lessons at a couple different places before, but this was hands down the best experience I’ve had! Julio was super encouraging and patient, and really took the time to make sure I actually understood what he was teaching—not just telling me what to do. I really benefited from the technical aspect of the lessons - he’d use video to break down my swing and explain exactly what I needed to fix and why.
If you’re thinking about taking lessons, I can’t recommend him enough!
