We used Golden-Eye for our home renovation and we can't speak highly enough of both the process and their entire team. We renovated shortly after covid and despite low supply inventory and skyrocketing material prices, Golden-Eye held true to their word and honored our fixed price proposal. Our project was also completed in the time frame we were initially quoted and that does NOT happen in home renovations! The team was skilled, detail oriented, kind and CLEAN. Our jobsite was well maintained throughout the entire process. We regularly receive complements on how beautiful our house turned out and it's all thanks to Golden-Eye. We HIGHLY recommend their services to anyone in need of a renovation.

Over the last two years we have been seeing more and more commodity contractors win projects on a low entry price and jacking up the client though out the project to have the final cost be well above our fixed priced proposal cost. Although the initial numbers might have been daunting, witnessing the meticulous workmanship and quality materials justified every penny spent. There's no compromise on quality; everything is executed to perfection. Mike personally escorted us to various vendors for kitchen, bathroom, and tile selections, ensuring no time was wasted down the line. He provided a detailed spreadsheet outlining predicted costs for each item, from lighting to vanities to tiles. Our project spanned just over eight months, and remarkably, it remained within budget and on schedule. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. We just completed a year-long home renovation and could not be happier with Mike and his team (Rob, Matt, Will, Maria, and the rest of the guys). They are true professionals at the top of their game. Not only were they on budget, but they also finished the project within the time-frame they provided. There was always someone at the house working everyday and we never had to chase after them or their subcontractors. Every question we had was responded to within minutes. They do not cut corners and the quality of their work is exceptional. I have nothing negative to say about our experience with them - which is very rare when it comes to construction! It's a rare event when one's expectations are exceeded in a home restoration project, but this was the extraordinary case! Rob and his crew (Will, Matt, and Alex) solved all sorts of previously unfixable problems, and did so in a calm, professional, and personable way. The project began as a challenging resizing of kitchen cabinets to fit new appliances, restoring kitchen pantries, and repair of a "unrepairable" window leak, but soon expanded into fixing everything on our wish list, as we observed the highly competent and trustworthy work. The additional work included repairing failing bookshelves, restoring leaky patio doors, and installation of a stove vent hood and bathroom exhaust fan. We had been told by other contractors that all of this work was impossible. Golden Eye is an invaluable resource for us, and we would hire them in a second for any future work.

I have now used Golden Eye twice, once for my primary bathroom, and once for my children’s bathroom. All I can say is I wish to goodness I had used them years ago when I redid my kitchen! My kitchen experience was an absolute nightmare, so I was very hesitant to do any more renovations, but Golden Eye completely turned things around. They showed up every single day when they said they would. They did all the work in an incredibly timely manner. The project manager Rob was always at my house first thing in the morning to get the guys going, and always returned to check on the progress. He was also always available via text. Are they the least expensive company around, no. Is it worth every penny, yes.

The home renovation process is incredibly daunting and sometimes overwhelming when you are doing a large construction project for the first time. I cannot say enough about how amazing it was to work with Golden-Eye Construction from the time this was an idea in our heads until they handed us the keys. Their all-inclusive project management is second to none and allows you to help design a project from start to finish. With other construction companies we looked at, there was always the worry that we would go over budget if costs skyrocketed. With Golden-Eye, because they help design the project from the beginning, they ensured the project finished under budget. Additionally, Mike provides a consultative services to help guide customers on where the best place to spend and where the best places to save are in order to get the maximum value (both to live in, and for potential resale) for your money. From a quality standpoint, Golden-Eye sets itself apart. Every faucet, fixture, and finish is curated by Mike and his team who clearly have refined their product choices to be only ones they would put in their own homes. My wife and I have now been living in our newly renovated home for almost a year and have been reminded on a daily basis of the quality of the work. Their project managers (Rob, Matt & others) are all excellent! They are accessible, and open to feedback, and incredibly responsive to any issues as the project went on. Issues with construction will always arise, and our project was not without its challenges, but how Rob and the team dealt with them is what that made our experience top notch. Mike and his team also ensure that the project meets the necessary regulatory requirements, which in our town can be tricky, and he goes the extra mile to deal with any issues. Overall, we are now in our forever home thanks to Mike, Rob, and all the great people at Golden-Eye, who turned our dream into reality. This company clearly puts quality and value above all else in their process and the results speak for themselves. There are probably corners that could be cut, or cheaper ways to do things, but if you are looking for quality and resale value in your home, I'd look nowhere else other than Golden-Eye.

When my husband and I downsized within Sea Cliff, we planned to do extensive renovations on our new house. After interviewing 3 contracting companies, we knew we would go with Golden Eye. Simply put, we chose Golden Eye because Mike Emmert, the owner, promised that our job would include a foreman and team assigned just to us, so we could expect workers to show up every day w/o question. He, himself, would be on site every day to discuss changes with our team and communicate with us immediately if needed. Most importantly, Mike assured us that unexpected over-budget issues would not arise, because all change orders & deadlines would be discussed with us beforehand for our decision and approval.We were completely satisfied with Golden Eye’s professionalism when our major project’s punch list was completed. We also know that we can call Golden Eye going forward for any future jobs, no matter how small! Since our renovation, we have called them for things like deck step replacement & advice on changing wood floors.
