A few years ago, I noticed my diamond engagement stone was loose and was nervous about simply leaving my ring and walking away. Without hesitation, they arranged for me to come directly to their workshop in NYC so I could be present while they reset the stone. That level of care and trust is almost unheard of — and it meant everything to me.
More recently, I purchased diamond earrings elsewhere that were drooping on my ear. Gelber & Mundy fitted me with new backings on the spot. They did the same for my daughter when her post was too small. Quick, expert, no fuss.

I had the most wonderful experience at this jewelry store. I stopped in for help removing a ring, and the two gentlemen who assisted me were exceptionally kind, gentle, and professional. They handled everything with such care and genuine warmth that I immediately felt at ease.

Today 07/26/25 I just met at this store these 2 amazing gentlemen, Howard and Neil who truly showed great respect. I had my watch resized and happens to forget my wallet Howard just let me walked out wearing my watch that if I am about to do bad then its a goodbye. Nowadays we just need to acknowledge the good deeds of people around.
You both are a gem to Great Neck community.

Just walked in off the street asking them if they could resize a bracelet on a watch that I did not even buy there. He resized the bracelet perfectly and quickly. When I asked him how much I owed him, he smiled and told me “enjoy your nice watch.” Even when I insisted on paying him, he refused. Afterwards, I stayed for 30 minutes and chatted with the owners. Aside from the fact that they have beautiful inventory, they are a real “old school” Neighborhood jeweler that’s been around for many years. A dying breed! Wonderful shop. I highly recommend. Brian T
