The technician was nice and friendly. He said at some point the trolley would need replaced, he reset the emergency pull cord, and greased the chain. Total waste of $ but oh well.
THEN, about 1 hour later the door will not stay on the track. So I called the company, some woman answers and I’m not sure if she was covering the phones or the wife of the owner - but either way she was totally incapable of even directing my call. Finally, I get the technician to call me - he says, “nothing I can do, I didn’t break it.” Are you telling me the door works for months prior and an hour after it is manipulated it doesn’t work that’s a coincidence? Long story short, these companies are ripoffs. They prey on homeowners who have limited options. Buy the door on Amazon and avoid these bozos.
Service was extremely disappointing.

Paul came out and was very courteous and respectful. He went right to work and assessed the problem. He didn’t sugarcoat it but explained everything perfectly. I understood every detail and he nailed it of course. I think he did a super job and had all the equipment with him to do the job properly. He was quick and efficient. Work was completed and the door functions well, but I’m disappointed with the lack of transparency.
Pricing is on the higher end, and they repeatedly state they are a flat-fee company and won’t provide a detailed breakdown. Despite multiple follow-ups over several days, I also wasn’t given clear information on what parts were installed or what maintenance is required to keep the warranty valid - even after they said they could share more details.
If you care about clear documentation, make sure to confirm that upfront.
Update: I didn’t expect the company with 5 stars to respond with false information, so wanted to clarify a few points:
1. No phone conversation happened with the company prior to the service. Service was ordered online and it was neither mentioned that company operates as flat-rate nor I said I was ok.
2. I didn’t request supplier information. I requested either cost of parts or manufacturer of the parts in order to identify the real cost. The only reason to hide this information is to hide unreasonably high labor cost.
3. Maintenance - I requested a clarification of what kind of maintenance is needed to keep warranty valid. It is NOT NOTED on the invoice. It is only vague “proper maintenance” so that only they know what it means and when something breaks they can say you didn’t maintain it well hence we void warranty.
All conversations were done through email/text to avoid misunderstandings. The only call was the call from technician with arrival ETA.
The response from the company only made the impression worse.

During our phone conversation prior to the work, we explained that we operate as a flat-rate company and do not provide itemized, line-by-line pricing. At that time, you indicated that you understood and were comfortable moving forward.
After the job, you requested information about the specific suppliers we source our parts from. While we’re always happy to explain what was installed, we don’t share vendor or supplier details. That said, your invoice does include a breakdown of the parts used and the scope of work performed, including:
Replacement of 16x7 mid-level springs (minimum 20K cycle)
Steel bearing between springs
Center bearing and end bearing plates
Full tune-up and lubrication
Warranty: 3-year parts / 1-year labor (with proper maintenance)
Regarding maintenance, this was not something you asked about during our conversation. However, we’re happy to clarify: proper maintenance consists of Yearly tune-ups and lubrication, which is also noted on your invoice.
We strive to be upfront about how we operate, and this information was communicated before the work began. If you need anything further, we’re available to help
