I called the company on 12/16 inquiring about a quote to install a new garage door opener. They were able to schedule later that afternoon a window of time for a technician to come out to quote the job. Connor called me a couple hours later to let me know he was on his way. He was very personable and easy to talk to about the job. The quote was very fair, and he was able to do the installation right then and there, and was very quick! Just under 2 hours or so. He was able to walk through the new opener, and helped install the new keypad as well. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing garage door help!

Have a garage door opener installed by garage door Doctors recently. Saturday the safety device quit working. Messaged them ffor an appointment for this morning. Mack came out, did some testing and discovered that the wiring from the sensors to the opener was defective. (Wiring was on the wall and through the attic. Installed when the house was built 22 yrs. ago). He ran new wiring up the wall, across the ceiling and down to the opener. Problem solved! He tested the outdoor keypad and the openers on our cars making sure they worked correctly. Since Garage Door Doctors installed the opener, this fix was covered under the 10 year warranty. Garage Door Doctors and Mack are my go to guys? Highly recommend them!

The coil spring on my garage door broke today. I called Garage Door Doctor around noon. Made an appointment for a 2pm - 6pm time slot. Tyler called and said he could come sooner. When he arrived he inspected the door and opener. He provided me with 3 options. He explained each very well. He completed the work quickly and explained exactly what he had done. Tyler is friendly, professional and thorough. Great service from the initial call to completion of the work.

I wanted to go with a local company and saw great reviews and that they're a company that isn't all about upselling. I did not get any estimates from other companies as I figured all would be near the same price which a quick internet search would be around $350ish for a residential spring replacement. Right away the technician started out with a quote around $1000 with various other additions he would need to do. I informed him that at that price I was going to need to get some other estimates. Then the price started coming down. I had to do this a couple times before I finally agreed on $477 for 2 springs and cables (that probably didn't really need to be replaced on a 10 year old door). I know I overpaid for this service. The technician, Jared, was kind and got the work done quickly and the work he did seems to be a quality job. I feel as though the company forces their employees to do this as a sales tactic which ends up hurting the people that don't "ask the right questions" as I've seen on numerous other reviews on here.

I had an issue with my garage door and a piece broke off of the top mount. I called them at 3 PM and by 4:30 they already had a crew out to my residence to repair the issue. The two men that showed up were Jeff and Luis. Both of them shook my hand and introduced themselves to me right off the bat- great first impression! Not only did they do a fantastic job fixing the issue, they knew immediately what was wrong and they repaired everything within 20 minutes. After they repaired everything, they checked my other garage door and noted that it needed to be set a little bit lower to help prevent someone from breaking in. I honestly cannot thank them enough for getting out so quickly, doing such a wonderful job but also checking something that I didn’t even ask them to check. They went above and beyond on the personal service and they have a customer for life! Thank you, Jeff and Luis!

My Tuesday morning started with a very loud noise. I initially dismissed it as thunder, but a check of my weather app showed clear skies. The mystery was solved shortly after when I tried to leave for a client meeting in Lafayette: my garage door wouldn't open. The loud sound was the tension spring snapping. Driving to Lafayette, I immediately searched for "garage doors" and chose Garage Door Doctor based on their strong Google Reviews. Booking an appointment for the following morning was seamless. My technician, Mack, was truly amazing. He clearly explained the repair process and the cost upfront. What impressed me most, beyond the excellent service, was the communication. I received text messages and a phone call from Mack when he was 20 minutes away. My entire experience with Garage Door Doctor was outstanding, and I would absolutely use them again.

Updated Review 10/7/25: I am changing my review from 1 star to 5. We finally were able to get in touch with a manager named Brian, and he was able to help us out and make it right. He apologized for the inconvenience and refunded our money. I guess we should’ve never had to pay in the first place to get this issue resolved, but it’s really refreshing to encounter a manager that will own mistakes and make them right. Thanks Brian! Original Review: I had a terrible experience with Garage Door Doctor. About two years after installing our brand new garage door, the spring broke. Unfortunately, it was just outside the one-year warranty. They offered us a $23 discount and a $50 coupon that everyone gets, which was disappointing. We hardly use our garage door, so I expected better quality. The new technician showed us how to grease the door to prolong the life of the new springs, but the original technician should have done that. When you spend $2500 on a new garage door, you shouldn't have to spend another $500 on it just over two years later. Either the craftsmanship or the parts (or both) are faulty. The only positive aspect was the new technician, who was very nice and even offered to get me a drink from a gas station on his way over both times he visited.
