Hired the soft play for a 1st birthday party. Really happy with the customer service, quality and variety of the soft play.
The party was in a hired venue and we arranged times for the set up and collection and Fun Factor was happy to do this. The soft play hire included shapes, a mat, ball pit and little ride ons. The ride ons were great as the babies who couldn’t walk yet were able to use them as walkers as well as ride them.
The staff were so friendly when setting up and collecting too as well as on the phone.
I highly recommend.

We booked the 3D Dinosaur Bouncy Castle with Slide for our son’s 6th birthday party and it went down an absolute treat! It doesn’t help that everyone is dino-mad, so the theme really fit the bill! Fun Factor were there on time for delivery and pickup, putting everything up and taking it down before we finished setting up and cleaning up ourselves! We’ve previously used Leeds Fun Factory and even left them a 5-star review. As a charity, we recommended them to other businesses and community groups. Sadly, after our experience on Saturday, that won’t be happening again.
We booked a bouncy castle two weeks in advance for a park event, but when the delivery guy arrived, we realised we had forgotten to organise a generator. That was our mistake, and we owned it. However, the way we were spoken to was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
When we asked if he could either leave the castle in place and we bring a generator later, or if the driver knew where we could hire one nearby, we were met with a dismissive and rude attitude. He claimed it was a last-minute booking and that if he had known it was for a park, he would’ve declined even though we clearly selected Hunslet Moor Park when booking, which is how he ended up there in the first place.
Instead of working with us to find a solution, he made degrading comments like “use your brain next time,” and spoke to us as if we were completely stupid all in front of others at the event. When we inquired about a refund, we were abruptly told to “forget about the bloody refund” because it was our fault they couldn’t set it up.
Yes, we made a mistake by not bringing a generator, but there’s no excuse for being spoken to with such disrespect. As a business owner, professionalism should always come first, even when customers make errors. We were simply trying to give the kids a good time. Instead, we were left embarrassed and disappointed.
Unfortunately, you’ve lost a loyal and recurring customer. Absolutely disgusting attitude

Thank you for your feedback. While we regret that you were disappointed with your recent experience, we must clarify a few important points regarding our policies.
As clearly stated at the time of booking, it is the hirer's responsibility to ensure a power supply is available, or to hire a generator from us in advance. Unfortunately, without power, we cannot safely set up or test the equipment, and we are unable to leave inflatables unattended and uninflated on site for health and safety reasons. Additionally, written confirmation from the local authority or landowner is required before any hire on public land can take place—another essential policy which was not fulfilled in this case.
We understand that oversights can happen, but our staff are expected to follow safety procedures and enforce terms to protect all parties. While we apologise if the communication came across as rude or unprofessional, our intention was simply to explain why the hire could not proceed. The booking was reserved for the full day, and as per our terms, a full charge still applies when our team has attended and equipment has been dispatched.
We value all our customers, including charities and community groups, but we also ask that our terms and safety requirements are respected to ensure events run smoothly. We’re sorry this situation left you disappointed and hope this clarifies the reasoning behind our actions on the day.
